The moderators don't "erase" (lol) posts that do not violate the Community standards. There are posts people may not like but that isn't against community standards. Not everyone views each post in the same way - you may not appreciate it, someone else might agree totally. As another poster said, QVC wants to see ALL the opinions in a topic, not just one side.
Moderators have deleted offensive posts with comments like "argumentative". "baiting","inappropriate"
These people are merely attacking the PERSON and not contributing to thoughts on the IDEA/SUGGESTION/COMMENT!
And this IS what is says in the Community Guidelines---
Personal attacks are not allowed - Don't attack or insult another Community member. It's not helpful and it doesn't make for a friendly place. This includes calling other members names. Disagreement is no excuse for poor manners and we will not allow frustration to turn into a personal attack.
All of which validates what I said - that moderators delete at *their* discretion, and that just because one person thinks a post is personally insulting doesn't mean that it is. Just because *five* people think it's mean, nasty, rude, etc. doesn't mean that it is, and/or crosses a line. I have reported a post here and there I felt was deliberately posted to personally insult someone (not me) and it was not always deleted. No one else reported it, and/or the moderator did not think it delete-worthy. And life goes on. It's still just a shopping channel forum at the end of the day.

@Buck-i-Nana I agree with you 100% Buck. Some people take everything the wrong way. Just not worth the hassle.

Snark is never welcome, but sometimes folks confuse disagreement of their position as snarky. I don't believe there could ever be an improvement in anything that would suit everyone. Obviously, some folks like the Q the way it is, others don't. I'm sure the Q appreciates your suggestions, but I think they probably also appreciate seeing how those suggestions are viewed by other customers.
1. Change The Channel
2. If you don't like it shop elsewhere
3. There are more important things going on in this world to worry about.
4. You only have few posts you must be a troll or someone banned coming back under a different nickname
5. What QVC is doing must be working for them
6. You need to find something else to do
Now how do these comments add additional feedback to suggestions. They are attacking the PERSON and
None of the above are "personal attacks" with the exception of #4 depending upon how it's said. Even #6 is not an "attack" if that's all that is said. They are over-used, not particularly clever, and people don't like seeing them, but many of them are true and none are "attacks." The definition of "attack" is not just saying something that annoys someone else.
Anyone who is so timid, and so intimidated, that they stop posting when such things are stated in the belief that they are "attacks" perhaps might be happier elsewhere, such as a 100% moderated-to-the-teeth forum. They're out there. Some people truly prefer them. But these forums are not that, contrary to the opinion of some ;-)

Very interesting discussion. Lets see where it goes.

Well I learned what a noun is today. I already knew but I guess they think I didn't. I am sorry but some of these people do crack me up!![]()

Thank you spurt, I totally agree with you, it is the same people who keep attacking us who are just trying to help the Q , I wish they would learn to at least say it nicer.

Their game is to get topics removed and people don't realize what is going on and play right into their hands.
I agree @Sooner.
Its not so much fun to post here anymore
especially if we start a thread, not even sure
if it's worth it anymore.
😕

Yes, when civil discussions are targeted, it is very frustrating. I enjoy opposing opinions, but when one poster participates in a thread to disrupt and provoke people, it is disappointing.

Inconsistency in Q's moderation is a whole new topic...

I find it really easy to ignore posters I don't care to respond to or interact with. No one can drag me into their misery, lol.
