Why don't they ust delete the old ones then? Silly to have years old posts around anyway

But if you start a new thread to ask a question, someone is bound to complain that it was asked before and you should do a search before you post a new thread. Forums are supposed to be for useful information and for fun. Not everyone is a professional poster here.
If we get a say in how it should work, I agree the IT team should configure the system to lock threads that are inactive for a certain amount of time. Easy solution that should prevent problems like this and keep it more fun for all. And I agree the old posts with useful/helpful/fun information should remain.

It that's the case, you would think that the thread would be closed for comments... Why on earth would they leave it open for comments... Makes no sense...
