If people stopped responding, they would go away. I no longer even open them, but the last one I saw had 70 replies.
I finally learned that and I'm now using the 'sit on my hands' approach, LOL!
Me too. I used to read them and may have even responded or at least hearted posts. But it's getting very old now so I just pass on by.

If this is the LR I think it is, I dont even read them anymore. I also do not read threads with SG in the headline, so tired of the bashing she gets.

You're right, it's not and the Mods have stated so on many of those threads.
I may be tired of them/have no interest, but that's my problem, I don't have to read them or respond.
That doesn't mean they have no right to be posted, since they don't violate standards.
Although I personally feel that most of the time these threads fall into the 'baiting' category, mainly because the OP rarely comes back to respond, so they're obviously not trying to open a discussion.
Just a fly by post to get reaction. They know how they always end.
Good for a chuckle, I guess.

Yes, it's Lisa Robertson, not Lisa Rinna or a lot of other people with those same initials.

Why? She has been gone a long time and it is not longer necessary to reference her soooo much.

As I said, I personally cringe when I see those threads, but the reality is that there's no time limit on subjects we can start threads about in the Community Standards.
We can't 'bump up' old threads, but we can start new ones on the same subject as an 'old' thread.

@santoriniwrote:Why? I'm against any kind of banning. If people want to talk about her, so what? If you don't want to read a post, pass on by. Why limit other people's conversations just because YOU don't want to join in?
I absolutely agree. Banning is harsh and should be reserved for a very few things, like the ban on political posts.
If other people want to post about Lisa, that's fine. I'm able to pass on those posts I don't want to read without having to get a moderator involved or ban a topic. I don't like soap operas - I'm not going to ask the mods to ban discussion about them because I don't like them, I'm just not going to read them.

Kathy Levine, Jeffrey Hewsom and Judy Crowell have been gone a long time, too, but I see threads pop up once in a while about them. Oh, and Dave King.

The threads are started to bait posters and cause a stir - unfortunately the moderators don't see it that way. ![]()

@Ibby114. I agree. Yet, it appears the mods have prevented me from responding to the offending poster's posts. Baiting? For sure!
