@Krimpettewrote:@Ibby114. I agree. Yet, it appears the mods have prevented me from responding to the offending poster's posts. Baiting? For sure!
When you think about it, though- no one should reply. They'd eventually go away! ![]()

If you see it that way, ignore the bait, game over. Do you really need a mod to step in when you can choose not to click on the post at all and ignore the entire thread without any assistance?

@Ibby114. And actually, I was only going to mention that I have a friend whose husband has several Porche's, one or two even vintage. So it's not necessarily a "biggie" to get a ride in one....at least not from my point of view. But the mods would probably have deleted that one also. You're right, I will ignore that poster in the future. Sure with they still had the "ignore" button!!!! Loved to have that available!

I've read a few of them and what bothers me is that it feels like it's a way to draw customers to her site so she can sell more.
I just don't think that's fair. If I owned a business and wanted to increase my sales, I couldn't come to this forum and describe all my wares; and, as far as I know that wouldn't be allowed.

The poster of the LR threads has admitted that they post them for fun. And I suppose as long as no standards are violated, they will continue. Perhaps the poster is being facetious or sarcastic and is not serious at all. Can't tell tone in writing.

I'm convinced Lisa has too much time on her wealthy hands and posts as Johnnysbro just to get us to react. She is pranking us. if it's not her, it's a member of her tribe or a surrogate.

I think the Community Standards are strict enough, and we don't need any more restrictions or banning.
I'm not interested in a lot of topics that are posted on these forums. But it's easy enough to scroll on by until I find something I want to read or comment on. It doesn't bother me in the slightest if there are topics I don't want to see. These forums are for a wide variety of people, not for any one of us in particular. I would never think of asking for a topic to be banned simply because I didn't like it or was tired of it.

Personally, I think the "fun" reason they post them is to get others riled up, aka baiting, while they sit back and laugh, but that's just my opinion and apparently not the opinion of the Mods..

I really miss the 'ignore' feature too!
Sometimes as hard as I try to sit on my hands rather than respond to them, I just can't, LOL!

If people stopped responding, they would go away. I no longer even open them, but the last one I saw had 70 replies.

LOL, the replies are as silly as the posts. Which is pretty much what the OP wants IMO.
