When you b *%ch, it's time to switch.

Channels, that is.

I should trade mark this phrase to everyone who moans about how they think the Q should be doing things.

You clearly are watching wayyyyy too much Q.

Not necessarily... I've pretty much given up the bitching... they're deaf to it... but no switching needed... I watch so rarely anymore... I simply let QVC become much less of a viewing and shopping resource... I suspect that's probably not management's intended goal, but oh well... Incidentally, trademark if you want, but 'turn the channel' is hardly an innovative mantra around here...

Advertisees and researchers say that one person that writes out their complaint is equal to 1,000 people.  And QVC would be wise to listen because their financial reports arent that hot, published at their parent co. website!  They had a ZERO revenue increase for 2017....and only 2% for the first quarter of 2018 for Q-USA.....which even their Execs said leave room for improvement...

And @Spurt... I would add that when the same feedback has been tendered by literally hundreds of posters over the course of the better part of a decade... and when those sales figures have been largely unimpressive for about the same amount of time... well... let's just say maybe the feedback bears more consideration than it's clearly given... Instead, what we see is the ostrich response...

@Pook

So your telling people if the hosts annoy them or they have program complaints to watch the videos with the same annoying hosts and a short clip of a video that may not give them the info on the product that they are looking for.  Example....a vaccuum....they see the online video (they show only a small portion) the vacuum picking up debris, but they miss the part where the vendor says---the cordless vaccuum will run on low power for 20 minutes, but only 10 on high power.  So if the customer misses this and is unhappy with the run time on high pwoer---here comes a return for QVC and customer pays $6.95 to return plus loses their orignal shipping for vacuums of $16....Your suggestion does NOT solve the issues! The whole ADVANTAGE of QVC is seeing a product demonstrated LIVE!!!  As I said people give feedback because they want to continue to shop at that retailer and continue to see these demonstrations they cant get from other retailers..... People that complaint dont watch 24/7 and believe it or not know how to use a remote-IMAGINE THAT!!!  They also know there are other retailers and use them...... So if you have better things to do why snark at people that leave suggestions?????

If the Q continues to go down their usual path and it results in QVC laying off employees like they did a few years ago.... these same people will start threads bemoaning the fact that US jobs are being lost .........pass them a handkerchief please....  It just gets under my craw that the "cheerleaders" won't let anyone make a valid suggestion or give feedback without all the condescending and snarky remarks---including our favorite---  "turn the channel"   or  "I have better things to do with my time" (obviouslly they don't).....  "find something else to do" (maybe they need to follow their own advice)..............

Maybe   I should post this .......

@Spurt  The complainers here (whether  legitimate complaints or not) are just a very small minority of those who actually shop here.  Even though I do purchase a lot here, like the great CS I have always received, don't have issues with hosts or vendors, can find so much variety online here, can watch videos so no need to watch tv presentations, my life does not depend on QVC being here to shop from as I (as well as everyone else) have many options which do not include B & M stores which I don't shop at!!   At any point that QVC does not meet my expectations or have nothing I care to buy or goes out of business then my life won't be affected as there are other online options so why would I bother to demand changes from QVC to suit me!?  I have better things to do!  Also, I don't see 0 revenue increase (if actually a fact) as a loss.  They are still making money.  The complaints I see mostly want QVC to reamain as it was before the internet and sell the same things that most are not interested in now.  With the internet, tv shopping has changed as you don't have to watch to purchase!  Had QVC not changed with the times they surely would not be making any money!

Well said. And the stagnation in revenue is a false equivalence. QVC's portion of the ecommerce market is steadily declining, yet their revenues are holding steady. And while Mike George did mention problems with certain brands, he also cited competing retailer promotions, round the clock election coverage, and the Summer Olympics as interfering with the bottom line.

I'm not sure revenue 'holding steady' necessarily means 'success', even in this market... I'd also note 'blaming' retailer promotions, summer olympics and election coverage doesn't hold much water at all... The last summer olympics were in 2016, as was the last general election. Meanwhile, QVC's numbers have been marginal for some time and remain marginal this year, long after both of these possibly... intervening variables are no longer factors... As for other retailers offering promtions, well heck, maybe that's something QVC should try once in a while... Their version of a 'promotion' is usually little more than Easy Pay...

And something must be wrong for the TSV's to be getting more and MORE expensive....a $400 hair dryer (that was an amusing thread)---when people said even the failed demo proved their $19.99 version did just as good of a job.....There was another TSV that was over $500....I flipped the channel so fast I dont remember what the product was......

And with Amazon gobbling businesses and/or forcing them out of business---revenues staying even isnt a good thing....
