@Janey2 wrote:@Pauline5147 I understand what you are saying and do not think you are haughty. I assume QVC knows what their customers will spend on home items. I am sure you are aware there are other places to shop. Wayfair has many different price points, Z Gallery and Perigold have really nice items. QVC cannot be everything to all people.
@Janey2 Yes, I think that's fair to say that QVC can't be everything to all. I guess I just enjoy watching from time to time and when I see high end beauty brands and nothing high end looking in the home decor ones, it seems to me that they're not tapping into a demographic they've already secured with the popularity of their beauty stuff.

There is nothing high end about anything offered on Qvc and their home items are some of the worst. Valerie's items look like MICHAELS items. Tragic!

I gave up a long time ago. They did bring in D Hilfinger. I was beyond disappointed. Her line overall could have come from Home Reflections or Martha Stewert, and Valerie Parr Hill.
I wonder if QVC tells them to bring in Items that are affordable with a broader appeal. Oh yeah Kim Gravel, and Dennis Basso brought some things in that that were also hit or miss. They are primarily accessories that look like they are indistinguishable from the entire group of QVC home "designers". If I see another latern....

That is to the point I was trying to make last week when I posted about a water bottle holder hand bag, it is different than the ones seen at the mall, they have a classier look . . . the type of thing that the old QVC would offer. It's where I first saw Capodimonte porcelain. They always had unique items that were not mainstream, that is how I started shopping with them and I miss it.

@Tori3569 wrote:Since they also own Frontgate, Ballard & Grandin Road, it would not be a good business decision to change the assortment of home decor items they offer on QVC to higher end.
@Tori3569 I didn't realize qvc owned Frintgste and Grsndi road ? If so then why are they bringing product from thrm to qvc? That makes no sense ! These 2 companies are high end .ive shopped both , very nice items !

@september wrote:I think there are brands sold by QVC, that are higher end, like Mackenzie Childs. Yet every time they're on, people complain about how expensive they are.
@september true are on the expensive end, But the quality is so high end and worth the price tags imo. People have to make up there mind maybe they could get1 MC item and forget 10 cheaper not well made item. Quailty versus quality.

I've mentioned this before........bring back the Inspire Me line. The items were very high end and beautiful. I have a few items and they are elegant and well made!

I think that Mackenzie Childs is "higher end"only in price --not in esthetic quality. To each his own.
