This morning I saw a cute pair of shoes, so I looked for more info. It said they were on sale. 110.00 usually, but sale price 99.00! Hurry, going fast. (I don't think so.) Then it said, 9% off!!! I mean, this is a sale? Why don't they do a real sale. This to me would be embarrassing to even post it.

Q has a lengthy reputation of knocking a couple dollars off and calling it a sale. I ignore those kinds of sales.

And unfortunately I see HSN doing the same thing--knocking $5 or 10% off an item and calling it a "sale" although they do still have some really good sales.

Yes, I agree....so as soon as a "sale" email hits my inbox it is deleted without opening. Sort of like the parable about crying wolf...do it too often and I no longer hear it.

If shipping is $11.00 it's too expensive, but for a discount it's not enough.

I have had a full priced top in my wish list for over 60 days waiting for a price reduction. My color and size has stayed available so people are not buying at full price. The other day I noticed price had dropped! When I looked carefully before I put it in my cart, I noticed they took $5. off. I did not consider that a sale and it wasn't freeship. Needless to say, it's still on my wish list.

The ratings were very low on this shoe, i.e. sizing was a problem.
