Everything electronic.
@ruthbe YES. And HELLO to the government knowing and controlling even more about our everyday lives.

I use cash or check only. Never pay a cent interest either. Debit card online when I need to. Will never use a card in person, not safe. And I use easy pay every time and pay billed amount with no interest. Never had a credit card.

@Kachina624 But if someone steals your debit card and uses it, isn't the money taken out of your account?

@Puppy Lips. In most cases a PIN number would be needed. In others the loses are covered just like a credit card. I'm very careful with online purchases and will only buy from an an unfamiliar or small merchant if I can use PayPal.

I didn't know people sent in checks to QVC or HSN, I thought orders were paid via debit or credit card which is the most secure way.

@Kachina624 While I appreciate the idea of using a debit card due to the fact you cannot (or should not) spend more than you have in your account, the thought of using one makes me a bit leary. I will stick with using a credit card, even if I do occassionaly spend more than I can pay off in one month. Thank you for your reply. And to those spending more than you can pay off, try thinking of it this way. If your credit card interest rate is say, 30%, ask yourself if you would still buy that item if it were 30% more. That train of though has helped me curb my purchases.

I have been using my Q Card for years and have never paid interest. When I have purchased a high ticket item I may use easy pay. I set up automatic minimum payments so its paid on time with no interest.
The whole trick is to buy only what you can afford and use easy pay wisely.

Well, it was not the USPS that was late, the check was at the Bank both times I had problems.. Anyway, I paid off my Bill today, and not sure if I will purchase again.

@RespectLife - For whatever it's worth, I've used paperless statements for my Q Card through Synchrony since I got the card; I don't worry about email reminders and just go in at the beginning of the month to review my statement (which is also downloadable if you want to save a copy in your files) and set up my payment. If you make your own schedule to do the same, you won't have to worry about or rely on Synchrony to deal with your accounting.
Also for whatever it's worth, Amazon cards are available through Chase as well, which is great if you want to be able to use your card elsewhere and get even more cash back. I'm sure I'm their ideal customer in this regard because I just use it all to spend more at Amazon. ![]()

Imagine being out somewhere and you suddenly couldn't use your card because of an error or worse? At least with cash one could buy some basics.
@haddon9 that has happened a few times when the Servers are down at the Store. I've seen people leave their carts with all the supplies because they couldn't use their Cards and didn't have cash.
