I can't add anything New on the hosts..my opinion is in line with most of yours. But even more than the hosts, there are certain statements that make me grab my remote.

"Red carpet" "

"Love you"

Celebrity clients. "

"It looks good on every body."

" Love you. "

"How tall are you Kate...Jackie..."

" Love you. "

And tonight a vendor said "Compassion is glamour on the inside."

So true. Why should I be impressed with or buy something just because some celebrities buy it? I'm not that shallow a person that I use that as my guide-stick. Ditto things Oprah uses or recommnds; I'm sure she's a very nice lady but dropping her name isn't going to influence me to buy something.

If you look up "over the top", you will find the names Jennifer Coffey and Kerstin Lindquist. Seriously, when I see either one is the host, I change the channel. QVC must pay attention to these comments unless they do not care if they are losing customers. Besides the merchandise, the salespeople are equally as important. Wake up, powers that be!!!!!

@Bostoncarol I heard Shawn say that too. Can you imagine saying that to your boss? She says a lot of things on air that surprise me though and gets away with it. The worst being talking to the person in her earpiece ordering for herself. Rude to us viewers. Order before the show. If you were prepared you knew what was coming on so don't waste our time listening to you decide on a color or size.

I totally agree! I usually cannot even watch Jennifer as she is just too annoying to listen to. And please get the ****** hair out of your eyes! There are many really great hosts on QVC, but there are a couple I frankly just can't stand watching. Jane Traecy is annoying and so full of herself it is ridiculous and though I do like some of the fashions, I just can't watch Susan Graver as she just never shuts up! (yes I know she is not a host). All in all, I think Jennifer and Jane Traecy annoy me the most. I am sure I miss some good items because I just have to turn the channel when they are on.

I can't imagine being a host on a shopping channel. All I can think of is being in front of a camera having to blabber on about some interesting and some of the most boring products in the world. Add that my bosses want me to act enthused, upbeat, happy, and in love with a product while spending 10-60 minutes talking about it. It's a combination that would make me crazy and force me into some over-the-top presentations. JMO.

No one I know. And, definitely not anyone I want to know.

I would hope people buy what they want and like, and not just because what the babbling host is saying.

I have no idea how their ridiculous over the top behavior gets more sales if that is what their striving for.

There is no need for me naming names - we all know who THEY are...

Just wondering why "How tall are you Kate..." would bother you? It's important to see how clothing fits different heights. I'm 5'9" and I like to see how a clothing item looks on one of the models in my height range.
