Did any one else get these as a OTO? It came with pictures of how to wear it but absolutely no instructions about how to activate the cooling. Strange.

F11940 - the video is still up... description says soak, wring, and snap....
ETA: I just came in from cutting my grass, it's 87 degrees (although that's better than the high 90's we've been having), I am soaked and somebody could probably wring me out! Wish I had one of these if they work!!

Thank you. It sure is odd that they did not include instructions. Did anyone else get instructions with their order?

I don't know why they don't make sure to include COMPLETE instructions for a lot of things. I just bought the Aquaflame candles and they are a combo fountain/flameless candle. They had no instructions about putting the water in it. So you just had to measure the amount of water and pour it in the only available place it would go! Guess they figured they didn't need to tell anybody....
And of course, in order to change the settings for the candle, the buttons are on the bottom... makes it a little hard to hold a very heavy large candle filled with water up high enough to change the settings without emptying it out and refilling it. Not too smart in my opinion.

Hi kittymomNC,
I own two of the candles you are talking about. Mine came with an instruction sheet explaining how to best use the product. I think the switches being on the bottom add to the beauty, as otherwise many would say it would be distracting. I set mine on the timer mode, and then fill it with water. Therefore, no need to lift it full of water. I empty mine once every two weeks, and put a cup of white vinegar in it for an hour to clean it. Then rinse one time with distilled water. Set your timer again when you want it to come on, and then fill it. I hope this helps.

I am going to take them with me and try them out down south when we go on vacation. I watched the video and understood how it works but I wonder if I had sent it as a gift what the recipient would have done with no instructions.
Has anyone had good results with these? How long does it stay cool.

They did not work as advertised, i wore one while walking the beach in 90 degree weather after thoroughly wetting and snapping it. My shirt got wet and that was the extent of the cooling. I ended up sending them back.

Don't bother ordering these....You will save money just by using a wet towel. These do not stay moist, even if you follow the instructions to a "t". Complete waste of money. The company is laughing all the way to the bank.

If you use a wet towel, pick a light one, like a flour sack towel or even a pillowcase and not a bath towel. The advantage of the GoCool towels is that they're thin so they don't get heavy and hot. They're also more attractive than a flour sack towel. They don't stay wet forever and need to be wet down again, but that's not difficult. Some say you need to use hot water, but that's not true. Evaporative cooling will work even if you dunk the towel in ice water.
I have a set of similar towels I got on sale at the end of last summer and they were a life saver when my AC went out this year. My friend moved into a house they built earlier this year and she spends every weekend outdoors landscaping and taking care of her horses. I got her another set of similar towels when they were on sale elsewhere and she loves them. That set came with wristbands, which are very effective because they fit over the pulse point. She can even use them at her desk at work where she keeps a fan because she's been having hot flashes. Evaporative cooling wristbands + fan = happy friend.

The only work as long as they stay wet (as the video says) I got my hubby one for yardwork, but here in Phoenix, it stayed wet for about 20 mins. I guess I expected more, just a cloth really.
