@Icegoddess  , that's the truth! One reason I stopped shopping at Coldwater Creek is that they never had models, only clothes laid out on the screen. Those Amazon models are severly photoshopped.

So what's wrong with that?

Sorry but on air QVC is unwatchable and i suggest doing away with it and concentrate on better short video online only.  Get rid of several hosts and hire professional product reps.  Get rid of half hour repeat presentations all day long of one product.  Buyers only need to see a really good short video to decide on buying.  There are thousands of items online that now never see a studio and do not even have more than one photo.  How can you buy that item?  We need several photos or short video.  We do not need fifteen minute on air presentations of a handbag.  On air, if kept, should be new items only with time limits and no more all day beauty programs or all day food programs.  How boring can you get?

I agree that most of Q is unwatchable. I have more enjoyable things to do than watch hosts do everything but provide product details. Most of us could recite presentations because of the constant repetition of the same old, same old, products.

That doesn't mean everyone else feels the same. If I don't want to watch, I don't. I can go online if I want to see something. That's fine with me.

There is nothing nasty or wrong about OP posting her opinion. She can, just like you and I can.

The key is that is IS possible to disagree with some class instead of snark or putting someone down.

Re: End QVC on air

[ Edited ]

MHO is qvc will be streaming only in 5 years or less. No live performances. Much cheaper to stream would be my guess. Sales are still down, stock still way down, what they are doing with this Failed 50 and Fab marketing campaign is not working. Crude and crass unwatchable hosts. There are only 3 hosts that I will watch, and not sit through a whole program even for them. With Mary Beth leaving, I’m down to 2 hosts. Hardly seems worth the effort to watch what little I do now.

I agree with you.  People should also be able to disagree without constantly being analyed like you are jealous,  you didn't get enough hugs as a child,  you are a masochist if you continue to watch things you don't like, etc.

I take it you haven't heard of CHANGING THE CHANNEL?

@KatieB Why say that .... "change the channel?"  Of course everyone knows they can change the channel.  But customers here want to watch QVC and shop. But when the programming gets so bad, viewers want it to improve and make suggestions.  What is wrong with that?

Wow. There is so much to unpack here, given the snarky, rude responses from many of the replies. But I will say that the OP has every right to offer her opinion! Many here forget that this is a forum! Instead of TALKING with each other about ideas and possible improvements posters are picked apart and I must say some of those responses ARE rude. Why? People have all different ideas and thoughts, it's called creativity which seems to be a dying art these days. I may not agree with a post, but it's not my place to be mean, rude or try to reprimand the OP! Be kind!

I don't think that's a good solution.  Many people enjoy watching the presentations and the hosts.  If they ended the live presentations, many people would lose their jobs also.  It doesn't bother me.  I used to watch it a lot and I don't so much any more but I do occasionally.  I think it's nice to have the choice.  It's the way I feel about most things -- if you don't like it, just turn it off.
