Or someone else is criticized for expressing a differing opinion by being told that the OP is only expressing "her opinion"!  Ironic.  (The second poster isn't allowed to express her opinion?")

And jumping to the conclusion "now everyone loves on air QVC"?  I don't believe everyone has commented or said that.  From the sublime to the ridiculous, in my opinion.

(Just to add:  I'm fine with live on-air QVC.  I don't watch 24/7.  I watch the shows I'm interested in, period.)

There is a huge difference between snark, putting someone down, ridiculing a poster, and offering a different opinion.

I agree with you.  I guess some people cannot tell the difference.

It's known as herd, mob or crowd mentality.

There is a huge difference between commenting on a post and disparaging the poster.

Good try on her part. We all know the difference. @CalminHeart

"It's known as herd, mob or crowd mentality." @febe1

Exactly my thoughts when reading through one of the many snarky threads ridiculing and putting down QVC hosts yet I don't recall seeing the same level of concern for the hosts that we see here.

There are so many channel choices.  No one is forcing you to watch QVC.

There are also so many other threads that can be read.  If certain threads bother some people they can move on and read other threads that are more to their liking.

Theoretically speaking, the same can be said about posters who start a thread or make a post and receive backlash that prompts them to become defensive, especially when the replies are less than kind. Lots to read here, yes there is, so if the replies to your post bother you (the general you, not specific to lgfan), then maybe just move along and use the experience for your next posting adventure. Great advice!

Obviously, people don't know the difference...or they prefer to ignore the difference.

I don't always blame people who get defensive when responses are rude, snarky, and unkind.

It's possible to respond without lowering oneself to their level.

That said, I try to ignore it but don't always succeed when mean girls are posting.
