Re: Classifying contributors (posters)

  • Question for Brittany or any other QVC moderator:

Why does the original post (mine) say 30 of 30 when it is, in fact, the first post and therefore should be number 1 of however many responses there are (if any).

Never mind, I'll start a new thread.

I like the Avatars....I just wish they would have an assortment of them for me to choose....I have no idea how to do them on my own....

The rest of the stuff....I don't understand...so therefore I won't be using....if they eliminate them...no loss to me....

You can take any picture you like and save it on your computer.  When you go into your profile you just attach it.

I just wanted to agree with everyone. I do lurk and read posts but I have been a member for 4 years of this community. I had around 40 posts or so before the revamp. Now I have 5 or 6 etc... What the heck happened???

Re: ranking of posters.

Depending on when you grew up (I was born in 1962) the ranking system reminds me of "opinion books" from grade school - 6th or 7th grade.

I like to get along with posters.  There are quite a few that I am genuinely fond of.

If they like me cool - I can tell by the way we communicate that there is respect between us.

As far as how I really rank - well Jesus and my three birds love me so I think I am doing okay.

They mentioned ahead of time that posts prior to a certain date in 2010 would not be carried over.  The lost some of my threads from earlier this month, so I think the count is a bunch of malarky.

"Non Contributor"??!! For those members who just seem to suck the lifeblood out of every thread they post on?

Re: Classifying contributors (posters)

Why not have a no like button...just as facebook is going to have soon.

I have difficulty getting to the latest big brother spoilers. Even if i log in, and say latest...I don't always get to the latest date.  It is good when someone hearts my comment on a specific day. i use that to get to the correct thread rather than going through now...13 pages. After the first 3 pages...the next page only moves by 1.

QVC, sometimes your improvements make things more difficult and worse, less appealing which is the case.

I noticed my contributor status changed last month or was it earlier this month. Who cares. This does seem like a popularity contest.  Kind of like the 8th grade Queen Bee girls things that I heard about. Only having boys...I didn't seem to go through this.

Maybe we need a QVC anonomyous group...for all the posters that feel left out and hurt.

Facebook's coming "Dislike" button will NOT be for saying one dislikes what someone said or disagrees with them, but is for example, if someone says "my house burned down" it's to sympathize/empathize say "I feel bad for you."

Not sure exactly how, because it isn't here yet, but Zuckerberg & Co will undoubtedly have created it so that it's use cannot be twisted to evil, or they wouldn't offer it.
