Falcons are leading the Bears 26-10 in 3rd quarter. They are playing very well, both offensively and defensively.  Trubisky made some mistakes and was benched; it's Foles time! The first play Foles made, he threw to Robinson for what what looked to be a touchdown. The call was reversed, though. This game could turn out to be interesting.

Well, Foles did it...and got the WIN for the Bears!!! Unbelievable the Falcons lose another heartbreaker!!!

Re: Week Three of the 2020 NFL Regular Season!!!

Colts 36. Jets 7. The Colts had two pick sixes, an interception and a safety. More than half of their points were scored by the defense.

Philip Rivers hit a couple milestones: the sixth player in NFL to throw for over 60,000 yards and the sixth player in NFL history to have 400 touchdowns. The Colts were so far ahead that Jacoby Brissett came in to replace Rivers in the fourth quarter. That was to give Rivers a chance to rest.

Indy goes to Chicago next week. Nagy hasn't said who the starting QB will be yet. The way Chicago has played lately, that could be another good game.

Thanks to the pathetic state of the NFC East, the Eagles are only half a game out of first place despite not winning a game. It's a weird year.

That should be an interesting game, I wonder who the Bears will start at QB---Foles or Trub?????

See the Eagles not quite winning, but not quite losing is a good thing.  And despite my team's catastrophe we are STILL tied for first place--

Re: Week Three of the 2020 NFL Regular Season!!!

It sounds a bit crazy, but can you tie your way to the title without ever winning a game? We gained a half-game this week. Let's say everyone else loses the next two weeks and the Eagles get two more ties gaining a half-game each time. We'd gain a full game that should put us a half-game ahead of everyone else without winning a game. Weird!

The bad news is we're unlikely to get a tie anytime in the next three weeks with games against the Niners, Steelers, and Ravens coming up. It's kind of hard to see a win there or even a tie given the way they're playing and the way the Eagles are playing. The most winnable game is probably the Niners game given their injuries, but they played well today despite them.

Re: Week Three of the 2020 NFL Regular Season!!!

The Packers and Saints both played well last night. The Saints really miss Michael Thomas, but Drew Brees certainly didn't look washed up to me. Rodgers is playing great. The best teams in the NFC right now are clearly the Packers and the Seahawks. The Saints aren't a bad team despite a 1-2 record.

The Vikings are a team built on defense, but they've given up the second-most points in the NFC behind just the Falcons. That's not a good omen for them. They're already three games behind the Packers and Bears. At what point do they think about maybe not winning games to get a very high draft pick?

The Bears may just try riding Nick Foles' hot hand after he pulled out that game yesterday. When Nick is hot, he's unbeatable. When he's not, he's very beatable. How long can he stay hot? We'll have to see.

The NFC East is a mess. The Cowboys are playing the best, but that defense of theirs needs a lot of work. The Giants are a mess. The Eagles are their typical injury-ravaged self and Wentz is playing badly. Some rare good news on the injury front is that the Jason Peters injury that looked bad may not be anything serious. Given how he's played, I'm not sure it matters. He gave up two sacks and multiple pressures yesterday. Putting Jordan Mailata in might be an improvement at this point. The WFT aren't playing well. There's speculation that the NFC East team that gets six wins this year could win the division. That's ugly.

If you're looking for a glimmer of life for the Eagles, the good news is that Wentz/coaches remembered we had Greg Ward yesterday. He's our lone wide receiver who gets open and catches the ball. The offensive braintrust had been designing plays to go to the outside guys or Ertz/Goedert the tight ends, but none of them have been overly effective this year. Ward is effective if not flashy. He's been way down on the read list and despite getting open hadn't been getting the ball. If you're not the first or second read with the banged up o-line Wentz can't get to you. Yesterday they moved him up the read list and he got the ball.

I don't know what the heck is going on with JJ Arcega-Whiteside. He's had good training camps two years in a row then has disappeared when the games start. There are players who look bad in camps but shine in games, but JJ seems to be the opposite. He looks unbeatable in camp but then disappears in games.

The Eagles don't put a lot of emphasis on linebackers and it shows this year. Nate Gerry who played pretty well last year is just getting torched this year. He might be trying to do too much or he's just in over his head. He's regressed so far this year though. You're apt to see a few changes made at linebacker before too much longer.

The future doesn't look especially promising for the Eagles with games coming up against the Niners, Steelers, and Ravens. Could they win those games? Not the way they're playing now. They are a team playing with zero confidence. They need to get some wins to build confidence and getting wins against those three teams won't be easy. The Niner's game is on Sunday night, so a win in that game could be a huge boost, but it's unlikely given how the Eagles are playing now.

Well TEGAN it looks like the Bears decided, and the Colts will battle Nick Foles at QB......

BAD NEWS for my WFT...We lost DT Matt Ioannidis torn biceps and out for the year...No word on Chase Young yet!

Looks like Coach Rivera is sticking with Haskins at QB.....But Rivera said there is a cutoff point where Haskins would be benched....didnt say what that was...

GARDENMAN-- D.Jack is day to day with a hamstring!

This is how BAD the NFC (L)East is---🤣

The Cowboys have allowed 78 points over the past two weeks, and their only win was a historic miracle.

The Washington Fumble Team came back to beat the Eagles in Week 1 but has turned the ball over seven times in the two games since.

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has three touchdown passes and six interceptions and hasn't hit 50.0 in Total QBR in any of his three games.

And the Giants just lost 36-9 to a team composed almost entirely of 49ers backups. Not sure if the math works this way, but it's possible that if you can't beat a team's backups, you can't be considered one of the top 32 teams in the league.

It's ugly out here in these NFC East streets, and none of these teams has even had to play the Ravens yet. (And they all will.) And YIKES we play the RAVENS next! 😪
