The Eagles poached Hakeem Butler from the Panthers practice squad. Butler came out in 2019 and was an intrighuing draft prospect. He's 6'-5"+, 235 lbs, and runs a 4.5 forty. He's been a wide receiver. He was drafted by the Cards, broke his hand and never played a down. The Panthers picked him up and stashed him on their practice squad this year. The Eagles list him as a tight end. Good size and speed for a tight end.
Can he play though? Teams don't generally give up on guys with those measureables that quickly. He'll be on the roster now for three or four weeks since the Eagles grabbed him off the PS. We'll have to see how he does.
