Rykas are wider in the toe box and narrower in the heel. Have you tried them?

I used to buy Ryka running shoes (as well as other brands), but haven't bought any in years.
The Relaxed Fit Skechers are working out for now. Since I'm not going out much or working anymore, these will last me a long time!

Lately, I've had toe cramps when wearing other slip ons with sock and wondering if I need to buy a wide if I'm going to wear heavier socks. It makes sense to me, but I normally do not wear a wide shoe.
Clarks has a nice variety, but any recommendations are welcome.
I find that although I love "slip-ons", I can't wear anything with a wedge. I inevitably wind up with trouble with my toes. Flat slip-onsare OK though.

@lolakimono do you wear Rykas? What do you think?

Yes, I have three pairs now, but as they increased the number of pairs with memory foam, I switched to New Balance 574. I don't have wide feet.
During "normal" times I walk on the treadmill for an hour before school, five days a week, so I get a couple of pairs a year.

Thanks @lolakimono. I was curious about your experience because you were recommending. I tried them a few years ago and didn't find them supportive enough. Wondering if that had changed. It sounds like that you are dissatisfied with them as they are right now.

Interesting trivia: Back when shoes were made in the USA, it was simple to order "combination last" shoes. My mother wore 8 1/2 C with a AAA heel. No problem; just a 2-week wait. And if I remember right, no extra cost.
About ten years ago I wanted a pair of SAS sandals in a special color. Called the factory, described my request, and --no problem! They had leather in that shade available. I paid a $25 surcharge and soon had shoes in hand (or on foot
).
PS I inherited my mother's feet but longer (9-9 1/2). I haven't found any manufacturer that consistently will fit right.
