Last week I ordered a pair of loafers (A637026) and they arrived today.  Did they arrive in a shoebox as one might expect?  No they arrived thrown into the bottom of a carton with some packing material mashed on top of them.  Should I not have expected to receive shoes in a shoe box?  The condition is fine but I am very glad I hadn't purchased them as a gift for someone else.  At the very least it should have been specified that the shoes would be shipped in this unusually tacky fashion.

@faeriemoon   Maybe you had to pay extra for a shoe box. LOL.  WOW.

@faeriemoon    I'm with you 100% on this!!  Considering the high prices of shoes and the additional shipping cost we pay for them, a shoe box is absolutely to be expected!  I'd at least call CS & let them know about this. Like you said, imagine if these had been a gift!

I had sort of the opposite experience.  I ordered a pair of shoes that were shipped only in their shoe box - no other box or even plastic covering.  Just an address label on a sealed shoe box.  You can imagine the state of the box when it arrived.  Shoes were fine, but box was broken.

Thank you for posting these remarks.  Lesson #1 for me....don't buy shoes from the Q. Cat Mad

Ugh!! That's completely uncalled for too! They know most people like to keep their shoeboxes! I've seen some shoes cost $11.95 to ship! But regardless the cost that's crazy!

Fortunately, I've never received any shoes shipped like that from QVC. Mine have always been in a box, inside a box lol. I don't think that's common practice because I order most of my Vionics from QVC.  If I ever received them like that I would let them know about it.

Something they've started doing that does bother me is Vionics have ALWAYS shipped for free. But lately, if they put them on sale they add a shipping charge. I see that on Q2 a lot! That makes the sale price, not really a sale lol

That is pretty bad, but I do think companies all over are cutting corners when it comes to shipping.  Last year, I bought an expensive pair of Steve madden boots directly from the SM site.  They came in the boot box, but that box was damaged since it had been shipped in one of those white plastic bags.  I like to keep my boots stored in their original box since I don't weaer them year-round and I keep them under the bed, and even though I spent $60 for cedar boot shapers for them.

I don't keep shoe boxes since I put shoes in a compartmented organizer (I have to see something to remember to wear it).  I agree that Q should be notified of the state of the shipping on this one.

@faeriemoon

Just speculating here, but I'm guessing the warehouse hired some holiday extras and never bothered to train them.
