No, in fact I believe it was the first time they were ever presented.

I have a shoe fetish and order many.  Mine have always arrived in a box with tissue.

I purchase Hey Dudes a lot from their website and they are not cheap and they are shipped in a bag with no box.

I ordered a pair from Bass Pro Shop and they were in a Hey Dudes box and then placed in a brown box. Very well packaged.

You are paying for shipping not the box itself. In my case as long as the shoes arrived without damage I don’t have a need for the box as I throw them out. Maybe they are being more economically “responsible “. I think most throw the box out.

In my attempt to avoid buying plastics (I have yammered on about it in the Kitchen Forum), I have been using shoe boxes in place of plastic boxes and containers.  So I guess I am one of the few who doesn't automatically throw away a shoe box.

Wow! So sorry some of you had shoes shipped without boxes and lids. I rarely order shoes online. I just prefer to try them on first.

Sometimes there aren't lids on clearance shoe boxes in stores. I've bought shoes in stores without lids before. My TJMaxx doesn't have any shoe boxes on their racks. I keep and stack my shoes in their original boxes on my closet floor so I want boxes and lids.
