Returns are just one reason something might end up in 'as-is' but not every return does... While it seems as though there might or might not be criteria for how that decision is made and perhaps that needs to be clarified, you've been given an option... If you don't want the bag, return it. If it's perfect other than having arrived in the dust bag (thereby signifying it as a likely return), then I guess I fail to see the huge deal. Each to their own, but it seems to me some folks are jumping the shark on this whole 'new' thing. Had the bag been bought it in a store, you'd have no way of knowing if someone had previously bought it and returned it. Any way you slice it, it seems the only thing they might 'owe' you is waiver of the return shipping fees...

I think OP ordered a brand new bag, not "as is", and received someone's return. It happened to me with an Oryany bag at Amazon and they apologized and gave me 30% off if I wanted to keep it.

But TK, as we all should well know by now, QVC is NOT Amazon...
