I'm from Indiana and I've never heard of them but then I haven't been looking either.  I use my own spices and would still continue to do that even if I saw the chili bricks around here.

As I posted earlier I have never heard of these or seen them in the store. I make my own chili. Use lots of spices, meat,beans,beef stock, crushed tomatoes,garlic,onion, etc. comes out good.

I had never heard of those until now. Sounds like a cool idea.

I haven't seen those in years.  I used to buy them when I lived in So Cal to make chili dogs or spoon over tamales.  I now live in the PNW and I don't remember seeing them up here.   Can't remember the brand.
