AS I TOLD ONE POSTER,I MADE CROCK POT BEGGIE BEEF SOUP TODAY. IT HAS A SMIDGE BIT TO MUCH SALT.IS THERE A WAY TO LESSEN SALTY TASTE ?

I have read that adding potatoes can help draw out the salty taste.  You might need to pull out the potatoes and not keep them in the soup as they might be too salty to actually eat.  I guess you can also increase the liquid in the soup by adding some unsalted broth or stock to help dilute the salty taste.

Yes, the potatoes work.  Also try a splash of lemon juice.

I've heard you can add a bit of sugar to balance out the flavor of the salt.

Add large pieces of raw potatoes and cook.  The salt will be drawn out.

I keep a few containers of unsalted broth on hand as a rescue for this, especially if I am using a flavor enhancer like Better than Boullion.
