Valentine cream cheese butter mints

 

Valentine's Cream Cheese Butter Mints 💖
Ingredients:
• 4 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
• 1/2 tsp peppermint extract (or your favorite flavor)
• Food coloring (pink, red, or any desired Valentine's colors)
• Granulated sugar, for rolling
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mint Dough:
• In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
• Add the peppermint extract and mix until incorporated.
• Gradually add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition, until a stiff, non-sticky dough forms.
2. Add Food Coloring:
• Divide the dough into portions depending on how many colors you want to use.
• Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion and knead until the color is evenly distributed.
3. Shape the Mints:
• Roll small pieces of dough into marble-sized balls.
• Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat.
• Flatten the balls gently with a fork or shape them into hearts using your fingers or a small heart-shaped cookie cutter.
4. Set the Mints:
• Arrange the mints on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
• Let them sit at room temperature for 24 hours to firm up, or refrigerate for quicker setting.
5. Store and Serve:
• Store the mints in an airtight container with parchment paper between layers.
• Serve as a sweet and creamy treat for Valentine’s Day!

Give you credit for making this. But, too many ingredients. Too much time involved. See's candy has great mints. Both dark and light chocolate.

@northiie57 - Thank you for posting this recipe. What a cute idea! These would be a lovely little treat to add to a tiered server for any event, including Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day and birthday parties. Even a few on a little plate at each place setting would just add a festive flair. Really good for any occasion since you choose the food color. Fourth of July, graduation parties, showers, weddings, Christmas! How about celebrating Friday? I will be trying out this recipe. Smiley Happy
