I have used the cooking bags for years. I also put mayo all over the turkey once I get it into the bag. It may sound strange but it works.

 

You can open the bag at the end so the skin will crisp up.

NEVER cook in a bag......and i need a lot of the juices for gravy and dressing. it would be more difficult to get the juices if the turkey is all "bagged up."

@Teddie same here!  having the bag makes it easy to pour the juices out!

@ImABoor I've never heard of using mayo on turkey!  We also open the bag a bit to crisp up the skin.  It alwasy comes out so juicy!

I have used a cooking bag before, but its been several years, I think they turn out good without a bag also.
