We got a light dusting of snow overnight and our temp now is 29 with a high of 36 ... thanks for thinking of DS too, he said he feels good enough to do our Thanksgiving today (unless things changed overnight)

kittyfan, I have never been to San Antonio but that River Walk sounds so nice.  What a good way to kick off the Christmas season.  Several years ago we spent Christmas in California with DH's brother and SIL....Pasadena area.  I remember they took us somewhere that had a river cruise...it was so pretty..houses and boats decorated..maybe San Diego area?  Oh well, doesn't matter.  

Oh, cookie, the Adventures of Molly begin!  She sounds like a cute little furball.  Nice that DD thought of you...especially since you lost your older kitty this year.  I don't know anything about raising cats.

Oh Molly. What a cutie. And a bit of jealous kitty. Know you will handle it. I know you have had many kitties over the years. One time I think I had a sign in front of the house. When I would get a new kitty (which was frequent) I would call vet to schedule. The response was " when did you get this one".

Unfortunately Jake isn't found of kitties and chases but I had a much loved springer spaniel who adored the kitties. He was a special fla.

Speaking if recovery hope Tottie and family are well enough to enjoy festivities. Many many years ago I was so sick on Christmas Eve. Everyone went to church. I was on couch watching Red Skeleton. Funny how I remember what show but he was a favorite of mine. We even had Freddie. The freeloader (dog) and Gertrude and Heathcliff (kitties) years later.

It's been a cold and rainy day here. Predicted so it wasn't a surprise. I didn't have plans to go out.

Hi there....just back from DD's where she had a combined family birthday party for both GS and GD with us and her in-law family (great family..we enjoy).  More eating....no complaints...no cooking for me!

kittyfan, sorry you had a rainy day but isn't it nice when you can stay home in that weather?  I had to laugh about you taking in homeless kitties too.  I remember watching Red Skelton too....we were lucky to have good programs and entertainment back then.

I am 99% done with Christmas decorating...a record for me!!  Guess I should thank DS and family.  They got tree up and I thought I may as well ....GET 'ER DONE!!!  So, I did.  Guess I had my stress test today....up and down stairs..decorating....washing sheets...beds remade...but B&B is CLOSED!!!  Ha!

kittyfan, we also enjoyed the rain at home yesterday.  Just the right amount.  Got a couple of books read and UB'd most of the day.

walker, you must be exhausted!!!  I forsee many UB's😊 SOuunds like a great time celebrating GS and GD birthdays with good food and no cooking!!!

Molly is still going under the bed because Shadow sits on the stool and waits and waits..... She is getting braver and came out to be loved and rubbed on my leg this morning.  Yay, she found the kittybox!!!  Shadow just wants to reign supreme.  I guess I will have to get her a Cat Crown😄 This is going to take a little more time but she is so cute and worth it. She's quite feisty and that makes me love her even more!💗💓  

Thanks for the memories - I do remember Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason (a fav), and many others.  Nothing like that now days.😥 I loved and still love The Match Game (watch on Utube)  Charles Nelson Riley, Brett Summers and Betty White!!  Yes, I know this series is 47 years old - still as good as when I watched it in 1974!    Sorry I got carried away...........

Good morning friends ... we were able to have our Thanksgiving .. DS was ok but just not himself ... all in all we had a good day ... LG was a barrell of fun and LS "talked" up a storm!! ... Thanksgiving 2021 will be one we remember for a long time!!

cookie,  I'm picturing Molly peeking out from under the bed ... she sounds so cute!! ... oh yes! Match Game ... I've seen some of the reruns on TV ... fun to see the hair styles and clothes!!

kittyfan, I chuckled about your pets named from The Red Skelton Show ... I enjoyed watching him too!

walker, what fun!! you finished up your busy week with another Birthday celebration ... and you're almost done with your Christmas decorating?!! I'm jealous!! I want to get ours started today ... at least to get our outdoor ones up, and of course, we got a dusting of snow overnight!! ... we'll see what it's like later on.

I read about another variant of Covid, although I don't think it has found it's way to the US just yet! ... UGH!! is this ever going to end? and our state is back to a mask mandate.

No paper yet.....but, coffee and friends here! 👍 I am getting used to reading it online so I think we may pull the plug on home delivery soon.  It eventually comes but too late for my liking....by 8-9am I am onto something else.

Tootie, glad you did have your Thanksgiving after all.  One to remember for sure.  LG and LS to the rescue to brighten the day, eh?  Sounds like you are doing better....hope this kidney stone passes for your DS.  

cookie, I think the 'Adventures of Shadow and Molly' is a good title for your new book...😁.  Can't you just see the illustrations....Molly peeking out from under bed...Shadow on watch?  😆

Covid is here to stay...sad to say...in one form or another.🥴 I heard about new variant too....thought I read that it might have milder symptoms.  We will probably be needing yearly boosters .....sorry, Tootie, not something you will want!  One year at a time....we have to continue being cautious..masks, etc.  We have been under a mask mandate here for awhile now.

Hello friends ... just finished cleaning up the kitchen and now it's time to sit and take a long UB ... we managed to get all our outdoor decorations out ... I'm tired out now! ...

walker, I thought of you as I opened up my front door to put my Christmas bow on it ... there on my front porch was the paper!! 🤔 I thought, that must be walkers!! 😂 no idea why it was there ... we have not had our paper delivered in years!! ... you're right, I do not want to even think about a booster shot ... I still have to get my second shingles shot at the end of December (but after Christmas) 😲 I told DH that's it for a long time ...

Good evening. Had a meeting after church. Then chatted in parking lot. Traffic heavy heading home. There is event at church on Thursday night. Considering skipping. I haven't enjoyed the last few I attended

I think Covid will be with us. Hearing about theatest variant. Our state doesn't have mask mandates but I mask up often especially at church. I heard the Diocese in Dallas resuming in person services I know my limited restaurant visits the staff are masked

Oh I loved MATCH GAME. they just don't make shows that entertain any more. I enjoyed Carol Burnett show also.loved it when Tim or Harvey would get the giggles
