walker, you did mention about your GS wanting to be a pilot ... how cool that is that you got to watch him in action ... good luck to him!! that's exciting!! ... and yes, the pumpkin soup is very similar to butternut squash soup ... I don't usually eat soup but I like this one ... did you figure out how to run the washer? 😄 ... I know you had a birthday celebration when you got to FL, but any more plans for tomorrow?

We'll have a rainy but mild day here ... high of 50 ... have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️☀️🦃....🇺🇸

Happy Thursday!  Another morning in my office...peaceful..I will miss it when I return home.  

Today we are going out to lunch with DIL's father and step-mom.  (Her mother passed away several years ago soon after kids were married and moved here. 😟)

Tomorrow big day...🥳....I want to enjoy a lazy day in my office, maybe take a walk, prepare to leave Saturday, etc.  After DIL returns from school, we will go out to dinner and to an Asian Light Festival at the Central Florida Zoo...opening night.  We went several years ago and really liked it.....walk through zoo with a lot of different light displays.

Laughing about the washer comment, Tootie.  I paid attention to instructions....and got it done!  Ha!  Nothing launched into space...🤣.

kittyfan, I think you have a Busy Bee family there....two more 🐝🐝s...DB and his DW....on the go too.  Funny about DB and the phone.  Before he leaves now you'll have to say..."Stop! Do you have everything?" 😁 Your lab results are on a roller-coaster...up, down....hope they level out for you.

Walker: oh a pilot in the family!   He can pilot Queen Air! 

The zoo sounds like a lovely experience.  What a beautiful display

Today we had a Town Hall meeting here. I had told brother about it. He said he wanted to come.  Arrived a few minutes late--girgot his phone!  He was listening untently and his hand goes up.  Neither of us are fans of the director. But her boss was attentive to people's comments. He did charm some of the ladies. He indicated he would be willing to come give a presentation. As I said we both have a rehab history. His is much longer and more in depth than mine.  He is charming and has a special place in his heart for the seniors. He dashed off to take care of business.  He left a meeting to attend.  I always share directives from the staff.  

I am back on the task of giving myself twice daily injections. Throw up suggestions and it changes weekly.  I do miss not being able to eat salad, garlic, spinach, broccoli etc I do like all of these items.  

Tomorrow is dominos day.  Need to be prepared!

kittyfan, it should be an interesting day for you at Dominoes ... don't forget the earplugs!! 😁 ... glad that DB could attend your Town Hall meeting and I hope that maybe the "higher ups" will listen to some of the feedback ...

Today we'll have a rainy but mild 51 degree day ... and I keep thinking that today is Saturday 😏 ... at any rate, doesn't matter the day, I have laundry to do ...

Happy Friday!  🎂🎈Thank you, Tootie, for the nice greeting.  Very cute! I'm up and at 'em as they say.....another year older....time flies.  My day...my way....have to leave "my office" after today...😟.  It's been nice and has gone all too fast.  Looking forward to tonight.  Maybe someday you will visit light show there, Tootie.  Kids would love it.   On the road again tomorrow so I'll probably be checking in later in the day while traveling.

DD sent me a message that she was on her way to the DMV with GS turning 16 today....🥴😫....he was just learning to ride a bike! 

kittyfan, I laughed at suggestion of GS here being pilot of QA!  Can you imagine his reaction if I told him about QA and the SCC?  HA!  Grandma is old and nuts!  Hope you have a good day at dominoes....maybe no Chatty Cathy! LOL!  No such luck, eh?

walker, safe travels to you as you start your adventure home ... yikes! your GS will be driving soon 😏 ... time is flying by!! ... I hope he had a good birthday too ... how was the light show? ... the kids have seen the lights at our zoo ... I didn't want to go because it was "winter lights" and I couldn't see myself walking through the zoo in the cold ... haha!

Hi there.....checking in from Georgia...south of Atlanta.. Good travel day....light traffic.  Hated to leave FL and family but life goes on....move along....."short visit better than no visit".  😢 It was a good week!  We could not get over all the growth in their community...holy cow...MANY new subdivisions....traffic HORRIBLE!  Not moving there!

Thank you both again for birthday wishes.  I really had a nice day.  We had dinner before going to Light Festival.  It was good.  Then onto Zoo and LIGHTS!  It was opening night and we all agreed it was best time to go.  It was not crowded.  As it gets closer to Holidays it gets more crowded...we went over Christmas last time.   Very pretty display.  I don't think I would enjoy it in the cold weather either, Tootie.  Florida temperatures are better..ha!

This morning DS fixed a nice breakfast before we left.  Much more relaxing than leaving at 6 AM!   Tomorrow we head to Kentucky so I'll be in touch from there.

Glad you had your dominoes gathering, kittyfan.  Guess you have to learn to "tune her out" since she never misses!

Thinking about turning in....early but I can read....fall asleep early and then get up and go again tomorrow.🚗

So far Lucy and Desi doing ok but sometimes he talks too much and I'm trapped in the car with him...🤣🤣.

Another mild day here ... some of my neighbors have taken advantage of this warm weather and put up their Christmas lights/decorations ... the guy in the back lights up his whole yard, in fact he leaves his maple tree lit up all year long ... it  looks really nice! ... I haven't even thought about pulling my decorations out.
