I should have been at Shady Oaks for dinner with kittyfan yesterday...Quiche...yum!  Any mimosas? haha

OK, AAA is a XXX bad company!  Unbelievable!  You tell them, cookie!  I think a credit is due on your annual fee if you pay one.  I'm like Tootie....mad too!  😡 

No news in my corner of the world.  GD has volleyball game later so we will go to that....hope they play well...new sport for GD and I think she is a little frustrated.

AAA is definitely not a good service any longer. My neighbor had a similar experience. Got stranded at vet at night. Went to neighboring business. Clerk knew driver. Called him. He hadn't been given order. Ended up doing their own tow. Lots of aggravation.

Slept in this morning so didn't do breakfast had a bagel and cream cheese. Housekeeping day today so I put the dogs on the patio.  

Got a text from across pond. Have a DDS apt. They will call for insurance info. Said their days are very long. Begin at 6 am and don't end until 10 so he was taking a break.  Heading to Germany next.  He is making sure I don't miss anything!!

There is a couple at Shady Oaks. Haven't been here long. Always appear at the end of service. I personally think it isn't appropriate. Staff working hard to do their tasks. Today they had to clean a table for them and delay their duties to serve them. They do this every meal!   Times are published. 

When I went to make the bed this morning found a dog biscuit under the covers. Hollyhock !!!

kittyfan, your exerience with your neighbor's friend is just what we finally experienced with tow trucks.  SIL finally called one he knew (who actually does do jobs with AAA).  Our family has been members of AAA for 81 years - Gold card.  Not acceptable treatment. He was not given the order, came out promptly and was not happy about the AAA - said this happens many times.  Not good for their reputation of being a service company.  Anyway the car was towed to our mechanic and now I wait for what they can do $$$. 

walker, Hope your GD enjoys her Volleyball game.  New game - frustration.  She will do fine, after all she hails from Royalty♛  

Tootie,  so nice to have you back!  Sounds like you kicked the flu gremlin.  Enjoy the littles and nice weather you are having.

Good morning friends ... cookie, how very annoying with AAA!! we've needed them a couple of times but have never waited more than an hour for them ... sorry they don't respond like they should ... I wonder if you complained to them they would reimburse you for a job they should have done!!?? wishful thinking ... but maybe worth a try?? but then again you'd probably never get through or no response ... one big vicious circle ... anyways, I hope it's a simple fix!!

kittyfan, some people are all about them ... it doesn't matter if there is a set time they're going to go when they want ... people are all about entitlement!! ... I laughed at Hollyhock hiding her biscuit ... she wanted one for later!!

 Shout out to walker ... 👋 Hope your GD's game went well.

Kids are here now and tomorrow we're going to go Apple Picking ... it is going to be a nice 72 degree, perfect for picking.

Off I go ... we'll have another warm day here ... planning on going outside ... LG is very excited to wait for the garbage/recycle pick up this morning.

Howdy Doody and Happy Friday to all! 😉 Hoping to see more sunshine here today.  Some rain south of us but I hope it fizzles.

cookie, happy you finally got car towed...no thanks to AAA.  Unacceptable, terrible, horrible non-service you received....and your family has been with them for YEARS!

AAA used to be A1 and so well known for insurance and travel needs!  Sad to hear their service has declined so much.  My very first "real" job was at AAA in the insurance department.

kittyfan, glad you are doing well....laughed at finding the dog biscuit.  The adventures continue for you there with new people.....plus, adventures across the pond...so thoughtful of your brother-buddy to check-in along the way.

Tootie, have a good day with LG and LS....fun adventures there too.....trucks and all!  Then you will be apple picking tomorrow.  Glad you are feeling well again to enjoy it all.

GD's team won both games yesterday!  And, she played better too.  Happy to see that as it was last home game and season will be over soon.

Last night I received an email from the pastor at my brother's church. I had seen him doing a memorial service a few years ago.  That evening my brother called  said it was indeed his pastor. They didn't have any connection so he asked him to assist the family.  Little did I kmowitwould be more than a year before we would speak again. His pastor said my brother asked him to check on me!  So like him. I assured him I had been in contact.

This morning woke up to lovely FB pics. Then different pics on my messages. I had told him there was a town in Germany that was the same as my maiden name. He messaged me to say they were 95 miles from this town!  

Last night about nine went to lobby.  My package delivery didn't happen. I had a box and a book.  I had gotten to appreciate delivery

Just heard lawn fellas. Had to close patio door as they will blow leaves. 

As I was waiting for the dinner signal I see the late couple. Perhaps they had been encouraged to be more timely.  I have seen people send things back three times and complain. I don't always get exactly what I ordered but I won't make waves. They work incredibly hard.  I always have a stocked refrigerator/pantry!   I always make it a point to say please and thank you. All my years in working with public. .

Slept in this morning. Didn't sleep well last night. 

Fish Friday here. Fish is always an option.

Heard some sad news. When I was at TS my partner was also co head at TS. I heard that her ,41 year old son took his life. Her other son is terminally ill.my heart goes out to her and her sweet mom.

I managed to lose cable again. On  Monday will see if I can get help!  Hollyhock loves seeing her friend!

Good morning ~

No news here.  Finally got the car towed to our mechanic and am still feeling strange.  As a great lady once said - Hope for the best and cope with the rest.  Hard to do.  I may just take an extra long UB - mentally!!

kittyfan, so sorry to hear about your TS co head's son's.  So sad- this whole world...... Sorry people have to complain about the food at S.O.  What ever happened to manners?  I was brought up with please and thank you and raised my kids the same way.  These people do work hard.  Nice story about your brother's pastor and re -connecting. So thoughtful. 

Tootie, how fun - apple picking!  Cute that LG is so excited about going outside to wait for the garbage/recycle truck.  Little boys and their trucks!  Enjoy the day with the kids.
