Good Evening Friends!  😴

Happy End of Day Monday!  Left sunshine and 70 degrees this morning. 😩 Now just south of Atlanta and it is COLD!  I want to turn around..ugh.  I had sandals on but no more...bundling up.  I've had several people say "stay in FL"....too late.  I hope the bad weather has passed before we return home on Weds.  Tootie, I saw where your area was getting it too.

Yesterday GS took DH on his flight.  GS took him up over their house and then over Disney.  DH really enjoyed it.  GS asked if I wanted to go up....HA...that would be an I Love Lucy episode for sure!  No thanks!  DS and I just waited for them.

I miss the family...was a very enjoyable week but we are tired....not used to being on the go so much daily.  Plus all the extra eating....every meal out served with warm bread or rolls and whipped butter....yum.  I don't eat that much bread at home but couldn't resist.  Cookies, candy, cake, pizza....Diet starts SOON.

Kind of funny how he did that with godmother and her Q account.  She must have been so frustrated ....I would have been mad!  

Well, all for now......going to sleep early....had an early dinner...glad to get back to hotel....this area is crazy busy with traffic!  Probably because it is so close to Atlanta.  Not looking forward to trip through town in the morning!  But, better to deal with it while rested instead of late day.

I'll check in tomorrow from Kentucky...planned hotel stop there.  On we go ....🚗

Yes visiting is on the go and eat and eat.  I know you had a lovely visit but home is always nice.

Quiet day.  Did some laundry.  More that could be done.  Dog beds for sure. Have to sneak them out and then get the side eye!

We had heavy winds and temps in 40s but back to 80s. 

Cedar fever season is here.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, I've never heard of Cedar Fever so I checked with my friend, google ... (a winter allergy from mountain cedar trees, walker 😉) I learned something new about Texas (and probably other states as well) ... do you suffer from that? ... laughing at sneaking the dog beds and getting the look 😄... how are they doing?

walker, another fun vacation/visit for you is in the books ... that fly over sounds really cool (I wouldn't want to do it but I bet Disney from overhead in a smaller plane was really something to see!!) ... warm bread and rolls!! yum!! 😋 they are hard to resist!! after hibernation, you'll be able to walk it off ... 

We'll have another windy and snowy day ... yesterday's winds were really bad, one of the windiest I've ever seen here!! mix that with snow and you end up with whiteout conditions! luckily, they have died down some!

Good Afternoon Friends!  👋👋😁...🇺🇸

Happy Tuesday!  We have arrived at second hotel stop in Kentucky....tomorrow HOME!  We decided to try a hotel friends have stayed at before and like...The Drury Inn. Ever hear of it?  It is very nice...impressed so far.  Very clean and comfortable.  Room charge includes breakfast and dinner plus happy hour drinks for $1.  Hey, I'll try anything once.  Will let you know how it goes....maybe kiddie cocktails and lettuce for dinner..ha!  Check in guy said he thinks tonight's dinner is an Alfredo Pasta with Grilled Chicken...salad...or chili or hot dogs...we'll see.  We can always walk next door to a restaurant if we want....Outback Steakhouse.  I'll leave it up to DH since he has been driving all day.

Tootie, thanks again for getting info on Cedar Fever!  👍Interesting...hope you are not affected by it, kittyfan.

High winds all over from your area, Tootie, to kittyfan's.  Fortunately we have had good travel weather...sunny and dry...but cold.  Hoping for one more good day tomorrow to get home.  I heard NY in Syracuse area had a lot of snow.

We will definitely be in for New Year's Eve after getting home...May not stay awake to see ball drop..ha.

Hi again...back from our first experience here...great!  DH said this is like a retirement village..🤣.  It is a season where more retirees travel.  Anyway..we had our drink tickets and went to bar/lounge....too funny...should have seen the old folks at bar at 5:30!  So we enjoyed a drink there....then they had a dinner buffet set up...people got a plate and returned to bar since dining room was full.  So we did that....grabbed another beer and wine while we ate.  We met some people from Iowa.  Another lady and I kept bumping into each other in buffet line....she always said..I think we are going the wrong way.  Then we met again at elevator.  She laughed when she saw me.  Good time.  I definitely recommend Drury Inn and we would stay again.

Dinner buffet included a chicken pasta meal, vegs, chili, hot dogs, baked potatoes, salad...nice variety.

All for now..next hello tomorrow from home base hotel!👍  Lucy and Desi doing pretty good so far...in the home stretch.

I've never heard of The Drury Inn but it sure sounds like a place I would stay ... good recommendation!! ... yeah, Syracuse is getting hit really bad with snow ... it's about 2 1/2 hours east of me ... we're expecting a snowstorm this afternoon but not that bad ... I hope!!

Hello friends....🥂🥳...😴

Happy New Year's Eve!  I am HOME...ALLELUIA!  Off the road!  A lot of travel and activity for ten days! But it was a good trip and fun with FL family.  Fortunately, traffic was light today.  I'm tired!  Tomorrow...nothing!  Well...laundry and whatever I feel like.  I am not sure how late I will stay awake tonight.  I may catch all the big highlights tomorrow on news...ha!

Stopped at post office to pick up our mail.  I have been summoned for Jury Duty! 😳 I have to get out of this!  They do not want someone who needs coffee, frequent potty breaks, naps, etc!  GEEZ!  Why don't they check birthdates?  I thought after certain age you were exempt.  Stay tuned...

All for now.....need to put together a quick meal to get us through night.

Well the neighbors are shooting off fireworks. One was so close I thought it was on my patio.

I don't know about your state but yes we do have out of jury duty.  I had a final jury summons. Called the clerks office. Sent me form to send off to Secretary of state to remove me.  No way I could sit that long. Did my civic duty plenty of times over the years.   When I volunteered at the TS one of the ladies was in her 80s. Reported as she said it was her civic duty.  That would not have been my mindset.  

I tried watching the NYE tv. Not catching my interest.  °

I found figure skating on you tube. One gal is a big larger than I usually see!

I was reflecting on the last year.

kittyfan, funny you should mention fireworks ... we didn't hear any at all!! usually they start before midnight and carry on through the night ... maybe it was too cold for them?! 

walker, welcome home! ... glad you had a good time and now you'll need time to recooperate!! 😄

ugh, Jury Duty?! not what you wanted to see after your nice vacation ... I don't think our state has an age limit ... and I think that Jury Duty should be on a volunteer basis ... my DS would love to serve, me? not so much ... I got called years ago, went downtown and sat all day to see if they would "select" me ... they didn't!! in that case, I think it was because they didn't like my answers ... DD got called last year, they sent her a long questionnaire and she was dismissed ... I really think that they try to screen out answers that may not be to their "winning" 🤷‍♀️... good luck!!

Well, I did make it through the ball drop ... but I know what you mean kittyfan, not very interesting!! tuned it in a few minutes before ... lots and lots of people out in the cold here!!

We got about 6 inches of snow yesterday and it is cold!! 11 degrees now and going up to 19! .. oh well, it's winter!! ☃️
