Good Morning Friends!

Quick hello....busy day.....need to run to store....then meet friend for lunch before heading over to meet boys.  Better check my energy level.....could need a mid-day boost of meds....haha!

cookie......"what did we do?".....before the Internet and devices took over our lives?  I ask myself that a lot too.  Wherever you go today someone is holding a device in their hands.  As QM would say "it's a different world".  She would have loved the use of a computer though.  Tootie, does your DM use a computer?

Spent yesterday waiting for vehicle inspection. Finally decided to go to another recommendations. In and out. Got some other maintenance issues handled.

I think I have found a new spot.
Yesterday was,back to school here. Oh the bus traffic. But I know the backups were happy to see school start. On Monday we had one of ladies GD. . She,was,delightful

Woo hoo!! we're having a 40 degree heat wave!! ... I just came in from attempting to "free" the Nativity, but it is still stuck frozen in the ground ... hopefully, tomorrow I will be able to yank it out ... 55 with rain tomorrow!! ... the sun is shining and it feels like a warm spring day ... a perfect day for a walk!! (which I will do in a little bit)

walker, DM does use a computer ... (but not very well!! haha) she is always calling and saying "something is wrong with my computer and I didn't do it!" ... she uses hers mainly for emails (to family/friends) and to play BINGO!! ha! ... she attempts to look different things up on it but ends up having problems ... (she likes to keep pressing the keys whether they are the right ones or not!! haha) it keeps her (and us) entertained!!

kittyfan, glad you found a new spot for your inspection ... hope this one works out better for you .... ugh!! bus traffic is the worst ... yum!! vanilla wafers and banana pudding!!

Attended my friends,building dedication. Lovely event. Saw,some familiar faces. Glad I went. He has been so involved in the community. This was,well deserved. I knew his wore and son. Hadn't seen either in years. His son is all grown up and a successful architect.

Just saw news. More cold weather coming this way. You ladies can keep It!!

Your DM with a computer makes me think of my DM, Tootie.  My mother would have been like that too.  Cute story!  Wonder if that is what my kids think about me with my questions....ha!

kittyfan, nice that you could attend the building dedication for your friend.  I doubt I will ever have a garbage can named for me let alone a building!  Ha!

Made it through my busy day.  All went well....met my friend for lunch and neither of us realized Wednesday is Free Pie day at the restaurant.  I have never seen so many people with walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc., in a restaurant.  I thought I was back at the dining room of my mother's senior home!!!!  Funny!

All for now.....time for.....

Good morning ~ long wait this morning, but need my SCC friends to start my day with laughter so it's worth it. kittyfan, isn't it nice to see someone you know and respect receive an honor? Glad you enjoyed it. I haven't heard about colder weather and if it's coming, let's send it North and Northeast where it should be! Laughing at your description of "free pie day" walker! Can't laugh too hard, it may be me some day. I don't have the energy nor the desire to deal with the crowds (probably some of the folks from Tootie's Post Office) when there is free stuff. Found out yesterday that the new meds will cost me twice as much as the other one that Aetna is no longer covering. (no generics yet) What?????? Can only imagine what it will cost when I get into the donut hole. Who is winning this game? Good thing I got my $10.00 SS "raise" - Hahaha I got a haircut finally. DD went back to work Tuesday and will do 1/2 days for a while. She had a waterproof cast put on and is so happy to be out of the house! Passing the coffee ~ R = roast beef S is next

walker, I love your description of your lunch encounter yesterday ... and I agree with cookie, when something is "free", people come out of the woodwork ... and I am laughing at your comment about not having a garbage can named after you ...

cookie, ugh!! more money for meds that you need ... doesn't it make you wonder if there really is a generic somewhere, but "someone" wants the money?? ...

kittyfan, glad to hear that you had a good time yesterday ... what an honor for your friend!!

A couple errands this morning ... our temperature right now is 51 degrees and our high is supposed to be 55 with rain ... tomorrow night a storm is moving in and we are expecting 8-12 inches of snow!! ... ugh, I guess I'll enjoy my spring today!!

I look forward to joining all of you here in the morning too.  We all get our Vitamin L along with coffee!  

I agree with Tootie's comment, cookie....doesn't matter the "shape" of your post.....just happy to hear from you.  It is the computer's fault!  This quick correct thing drives me nuts....changes a word it thinks I want to say, etc.

Oh, the drug costs.....sorry, cookie....hurts the wallet and feeds the wallet of the pharmaceutical companies!!!  Arrggh! 

Well, better get going......woke up to 57 this morning and did a double-take at TV ....57?....wow.....but, it will drop later....back to normal.  

Happy Thursday!  Love the S, Tootie...."comfort food" in winter.
