@Sooner  I guess I always thought saying Aunt______ and Uncle____ was a sign of respect, so I always did it.

Grandparents......never did like the "Nana" thing for Grandma.  In Italian Grandma is Nonna and I wonder if that's where the nana thing came from.  Not the same at all.  (Grandpa is Nonno)

She is their step-grandma, .. And maybe she preferred to be called that.

I never called my aunts and uncles "aunt" or "uncle".  I called them by their names.  Seems quite normal and just fine to me.

My husband always calls his by their title then name and it just seems silly to me.  Of  course you know they are your aunt or uncle, why do you have to keep saying it?  

Then again, I never understood why grandmothers and grandfathers had stupid nicknames.  Now that seems disrespectrul to me. . .

I've always called aunts/uncles by their first name and as for my grandparents, never called the females grandma.  Grandmothers I called "Nan" as a form of nana but did call grandfather "papa".  The other grandchildren did the same.

ALL my neices nephews and great neices and nephews have always called me by my first name and  never thought anything of it..Perhaps it was because I was only 8 when my oldest nephew was born, I dont really think so, because  that is just the way in our family for all of us sibs..even the ones who were married and grown when these kids were born...

No she is not their step grandma, she is Ladds grandmother therefore their great grandma.

@BeccaLou - I think there is some confusion. Ladd doesn't have a stepmother. His mom Nan passed away from cancer just a few months ago. 

Ree's new cookbook was written with the help of the public. I read her blogs and got an e-mail saying I could request a certain type of recipe. I didn't, but I understand most of the requests were for healthy versions of some of the favorite dishes she makes.

@BeccaLou - I don't believe Ladd has a stepmother. However, Ree has one, Patsy, who is often featured on the show.
