I buy binders and sheet protectors. This way I pull out a recipe when I want to make it and I can also wipe it down if I slop on it. I also have recipes in accordion folders. I designate each slot to a category.

@Happy54

How about a 3 ring binder with clear plastic sleeves that you can just slide the recipe into?

I use binders and clear plastic sheet protectors.  Keeps the recipe clean in the kitchen.

I like to store my recipes in 4 x 6 photo albums.  A lot of the albums hold a couple of hundred recipes so it doesn't take up as much space as storing them in multiple recipe boxes.

I use the binder and sheet protector method also but only for recipes I have already tried and I know they are keepers.

@Happy54

Hallmark makes some styles, with additional pages that you can purchase, of varying sizes.

There are some good ideas here.  I'm still using a small recipe box.  It doesn't work well for most recipes printed off the web, so I end up cutting them down and folding so they'll fit.  Awkward.
