Happy Thanksgiving Eve everyone
Many blessings to everyone here (posters and readers alike) and extra special prayers for Brother Mustang and Martha.
I braved the wind to get my turkey on Monday. The smallest they had were 13 lbs so I will have to manage with aluminum foil on my roasting pan this year. He comes in a cute little box with a meat thermometer and all his innerds wrapped separately in meat paper.
He should have been driven here and arrived on a red carpet with what he cost. LOL Normally I don't pay attention as it's embedded with the rest of my shopping but this was the only thing I had to get so she rang it up, snapped her head up to look at me and then said out loud how much is was. I had to go lay down on the couch for a while after I got home. LOL Luckily for me I got a nice bonus last Friday for saving the company a large sum of money, so I'm still ahead of the game.
The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow afternoon, so I may be able to go to my sister's house for dessert and sit outside on the deck for a bit and visit.
We have a family video call set up for the evening, so I will have to get dressed either way tomorrow. I was hoping to not have to worry about that.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow. I'll let you know if we have a special delivery.

Not only do I remember sponge curlers, I still have them! Lol
Don't ask me why they made the last move!
My hair is way longer than it should be on an old lady but I thought I might use them again to curl the ends. I haven't! Lol
@RespectLife @mustang66lady , I still have some too. I did try to use them on my long hair and ended up with little pink grits in my hair.
The foam has become brittle and now in the garbage. I think now all of the pink particles are out of my hair. LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving K-Team!
Hope you all have a blessed day even if things do look a little different this year. We are still standing.
I have gotten some bad news - in the last 24 hours I have found out that our oldest DD's S.O.'s daughter has covid and tonight I found out Brother Mustang now is covid positive as well. He is not doing well; the extended family granddaughter is doing ok-just feels incredibly tired and is running a fever. She says she feels like she has a really bad sinus infection but her covid test was positive so we know it is more than sinus.
Everyone stay safe, stay warm, stay comfortable. Enjoy your day tomorrow no matter what it ends up being. I'm just thankful you all are still here. Bless you all. ![]()

@momtochloe wrote:Hey @tiny 2 , haven't seen you on the boards for a while and hope you are safe and doing well. Gosh I know the holidays are challenging enough but please know you are in our thoughts my friend and hope all is well . . .
Thank you @momtochloe. I am doing ok. I lost one of my kitties. She died in my arms Friday morning and I really have been so very upset.
I am trying to do some Thanksgiving preparations. I am making some food for my family even though I will not be able to join them. I have been cooking the very large 16-30 people dinners for so long. I had my IV today so there is no way I can be with them even though it will only be 8 this year. We are all trying to be safe an stay at home. Hopefully next year we will be together again. I am going to have some nice food and hope there will be some good Christmas movies on and of course visit on the phone.
Oh gosh no @tiny 2 I am so so sorry! So hard to lose a furbaby and I know how much you love your brood . . . tight hugs my friend . . .
Gosh so much for you right now . . . saying prayers that you bounce back from your treatment as quickly as possible and that you enjoy the feast you have prepared. In contrast, I just pulled some miserable looking petrified bacon out of the freezer from goodness knows when to pair with the bushel of brussels sprouts I bought yesterday. As I always say, thank goodness I grade on a curve around here . . . again, tight hugs to you my friend . . .
All thoughts and prayers your way my friend. (((((@tiny2))))

Lol @tiny 2
That could very well be the case with my pink foams. Wonder if the shelf life is 30 years!
