One thing to keep in mind (and prepare for) is that people, while well meaning, will start to tell you how and how long to grieve.
Everyone is different and there is no right or wrong way and there is no timeline.
So just shrug that stuff off and don't let it worry you.
It's okay to be profoundly sad. Feel whatever your feelings are and don't let people make you feel bad for feeling them.

Good morning my Friend!
How was your T-day?
What are you up to today?
Hiya @ChiliPepper , nothing much going on around here. The Thanksgiving in a box from Trader Joe's was good, I'll get it again next year as it's perfect for me.
How is DD? What did you guys do yesterday? Any fun plans for the weekend?

I hope you enjoyed your turkey day.
Work has been busy since we were in a meeting all week in early November and then had events each week. Next week is our holiday party. There's nothing left to do but fold the programs on Thursday and I have an army of people to do that.
So now it's time to relax and get caught up on stuff at home.
VaBellle,
Glad you can see some well-deserved R&R on the horizon.

@RespectLife wrote:New for Thanksgiving is an attempt at my Gram's stuffing. Couldn't find anything remotely close online....so sis and I were racking our brains cuz we were little!
It is a bread 'loaf' stuffing sorta meatloaf style.
I remember her drying bread. I THINK she squeezed them then with milk? Then eggs, and lots of parm cheese. Guessing on the spices...italian herbs maybe?
Stuffed in the cavaty and then when done, you slice it like a meatloaf. Makes fab sandwiches.
NOT a crouton stuffing at all. Solid like a meatloaf is the only way I can describe it.
@momtochloe suggested grating onions which would be good. I don't remember ANY onion bits cuz as a fussy child, I wouldn't have eaten it!
Does any of this ring your Italian bell?
I asked other 'old Italians' still living and they think I am making the whole thing up! LOL
Sis confirmed.....so we shall see!
@RespectLife This is how we make meatballs in my family. It's more Depression era than Italian, I think. It was a way to stretch meat. We soak the bread in milk (no idea why) and mix it into the ground beef.
Respect,
How did that stuffing turn out? Was it like meatloaf?

mtc,
How was that turkey and dressing encased in a crust? What other stuff did you get to go with it?

@VaBelle35, I just had this happen. The person told me I should not be like this because I knew this was coming. I was shocked to hear it.
