Your Aldi's had the Jap Maples? They show in our ad as not starting until Sunday.
I sure hope our Aldi's has them, that is a fantastic price! It said May Not be avail in all locations....
My son has 0 landscaping and that is the project for this spring/summer.
Respect,
Our Aldi ad papers get delivered on Tuesdays and the sale prices begin on Wednesday. This week's ad paper was only one page--front and back. I don't get a Sunday ad flyer. I tried calling the local store but got a recording from the main office that said that local stores had unlisted numbers to keep staffing costs down.

I'm so late getting here today. I was wiped from the last few days and slept in. Trying to get my house pulled back together but haven't gotten it all done just yet. I bought 2 hyacinth's at Aldi's last week for 3.99 each. Each pot has 3 or 4 bulbs planted and while both pots had buds ready to bloom, I could not tell what color they would be. Both pots started blooming Friday and were beautiful by yesterday. One of them is a yellow hyacinth and I have to admit, I don't think I have ever seen a yellow one before. I have pink, white, and purple ones that I have planted so this was a @sweet surprise. The other pot turned out a soft, light pink and the fragrance is wonderful.
I LOVE hyacinths!!!
They smell soooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!
One of my favs!!!
Those hyacinths are so pretty and smell so good. lf your Aldi's still have some, I highly recommend snagging some if you can. I plant mine outside as soon as I can and so far, they come back up. Just be sure to water them a lot in the beginning so they will take root.

Dear Mustang,
YIKES! It sounds like that dental stuff was an ORDEAL! Hope this is the end of all things dental for a while.
Unfortunately I will have to return in a few weeks to have the new bridge placed. So far, so good though. I'm not having any tooth pain in the teeth flanking where the bridge goes so maybe no root canal. Fingers crossed. And some time soon, I need two implants. Last year with DH having a heart attack and me getting a new knee, was not a good one to tackle those teeth. Thanks for thinking of me!

Our problems started after hurricane Fran. We had thousands of trees down in our neighborhood. There has been a problem with power since. I think they just did not get things back together exactly right.
tiny 2,
We lived in North Carolina when hurricane Fran came through. We were in the basement when a torential rain hit. Water started pouring into our basement. We went upstairs and the power went out. Then the 75 mph winds started. It really was something.
I'm sorry both of you had to endure that terrible storm. YIKES @Writer with Flair =basement taking water and 75mph winds upstairs with no power! I bet you felt a lot like Dorothy from Wizard of Oz!

Thanks for taking time to comment on the soup and welcome to the soup thread! Hope you come back often and get to know us and let us get to know you! Great gathering of strong ladies here who always have a helping hand, a listening ear, a thoughtful word. And we like a good party now and then as well!

Hey @mustang66lady let me know if you have a problem accessing the Aldi ad online and I can send you a link. I may wander over there today or tomorrow as they have nice looking chicken tenders on sale along with something called an adobo smoked cod (fresh). I think maybe I would like to try that if the price is right.
And I thought of you when I was snooping through next week's ad. Maybe if you get one of these those pesky tree frogs will hang out here:
Even though we have 3 dogs, you know I will just have to get that frog next week at Aldi's! I have so many real ones that I figured I might as well just join them!

@Writer with Flair wrote:I went to Aldi's first thing this morning and was surprised that only one other customer was there. I was able to pick up two of the Expandable Garment Racks (for only $7.99 each) and a bag of organic pears.
They had some nice ornamental plants and even some Japanese Maple trees (about 4 feet tall). The outdoor furniture looked good. I'll have to go back and check everything out when I have more time.
I think I saw your rug, mtc. It looks like very nice quality.
I needed the clothing racks because I'm collecting donations of clothing, toiletries, and accessories for a ministry that helps women get back into the work force. I receive the stuff in bags and like to hang up the clothing with hangers I bought so the ladies will have some and the ministry will not have to buy them. (Ross's usually has some great deals on hangers, if you need any. )
I haven't taken the racks out to see how they look, but I did not need anything fancy-smancy--just something I could use to hang the clothing on as I put it on hangers and then take apart and store when not in use.
I so wish we lived closer to each other. I have been trying to find a ministry or some sort of place that takes donations for women trying to return to the work force. I have so many nice leather handbags and would like to downsize my collection (addiction) and this is the type of place I would love to donate them to. Would you have a sister church in the St. Louis area doing the same type of ministry-I would drive them anywhere in the greater St. Louis area and DH goes as far south as Cape Girardeau, MO and Springfield, MO. on business so he could drop them off anywhere along the way to one of those towns, too.

That IS a wonderful ministry!
What types of donations are you looking for? What kind of things DON'T you want?
Is there always a need or are you overstocked with items?
I could box things up and mail/ups to you? I need to do some purging!

@momtochloe wrote:Oh @ChiliPepper that looks absolutely delicious! I can't imagine how good that braised beef was mixed in with the other ingredients. Excellent choice my friend and more than worth a meal or two . . .
Yay, I only tried a couple of bites (so I could get my fill of salad/breadsticks LOL), but it was really, really good. I'm VERY excited for tonight's leftovers.
We need to find that recipe!
Well I found this one that is similar from Maggiano's:

If you make this or any version of the recipe, make sure you add Italian sausage. That gave it a whole other level of yummyness!!!

Thanks for posting the pic! I seriously WANT that dish! Right up my alley! I have a GC to use too!
We also have a GC for Ruby Tuesday. Just heard on the news that one of only 2 locations is closing! I have never been there....anyone else havng Ruby's closures?
Better go use that thing b4 we lose it!
We have a Ruby Tuesday near us in Oswego. I don't believe its closing. It seems to be going strong, it's always busy when we go. We don't go that often though, its not super expensive but we can get a really nice meal at Applebees for half the money - just no salad bar. I don't want to spend 40 or 50 bucks on a meal for two.
I'm the cheap one remember???!!!
We do love Ruby Tuesday's Garden Bar! Nice variety.
There was also one in Clay that closed a few years ago. It was at the Great Northern Mall which died/dying a slow death ever since Destiny Mall opened not that far away.
