And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done!
One of my favorite hymns!!
I actually heard David V sing a bit of that on his son once!

Blessed Christmas Eve!
As @mustang66lady said, this Christmas is not what we planned but we rejoice in it anyways!
The meaning of Christmas lives in our hearts every day!
So whenever we can be together again it will be a celebration!
DH is doing better a bit every day.
Did has finally broke her fever.
Haven't talked to my kids yet today, but holding onto faith they 're doing okay.

I hope that you are feeling well these days. Is it getting close to the time when you will need to have another infusion?
How is the weather in North Carolina these days? When you mentioned those folks that have had to live in tents during the winter, my heart went out to them. I am so glad that people like you are trying to help them.
We heard about the death of a man we knew from our first neighborhood (when he was a young child). He grew up to be a fine Christian man with a wife and two small children. Eventually, he became a fireman. He was about to become a fire chief when he was driving back home from his work on a two-lane road. It was early in the morning and and a school bus driver lost control of the bus she was driving. It hit a station wagon, crossed the center lane, and then hit the young man's truck, pulling it into a ditch and finally landing on top of the truck cab--crushing it. Firemen from the young man's unit were the first responders and finally got him out of the truck after 45 minutes. Miraculously, he still was alive. He was in the hospital with his firemen friends taking turns keeping 24-hour prayer vigil with him. He died after a week. We were heartbroken to get this news.
How is your neighbor and her cats doing? Do the cats still come over for visits?
@Writer with Flair I am doing more coordinating than anything else. I can't really be out much due to my situation.
The weather here is gray and rainy. We are under threat for tornadoes, flooding and heavy wind later today and tonight. It was unusually warm this am. Once this is passed things will get cold for tonight and tomorrow.
The cats are still visiting and I have had a couple of pass throughs that were glad to get a nice meal and one dog that got out. Fortunately he had information on his collar and his frantic mom came to pick him up.
I hope you and Mr. Writer have a safe and Happy Christmas. Someone had a box of pears sent to me with a nice note but no name. They obviously knew my love affair with pears. It was a really nice surprise.

@momtochloe @mustang66lady @RespectLife @Writer with Flair @VaBelle35 @ChiliPepper
I hope all of you Kitchenettes have a Merry Christmas.
@RespectLife I will be keeping you in my prayers for a complete recovery for all of your family and friends dealing with this virus.
@mustang66lady My deepest condolences for all the loss you have endured this year. I hope you will be able to find rest and heal. I have benefited from your wisdom for longer than you know.
@momtochloe Thanks for your unique talent and sense of humor in always managing to get a laugh out of me during the darkest of days.
@ChiliPepper, I do hope you will be able to take a little break from all your hard work.
@VaBelle35, Enjoy the new life and joy in your family. The babies born this year will not have any recollection of the horror of this pandemic. It will be a story that may be told in years to come.
I have really enjoyed your photos of your home projects. It turned out beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Love the stairs!!!
@Writer with FlairIt has been nice to have someone that knows the area. It has grown like you wouldn't believe and unfortunately not all of it is good. 40 story buildings etc. We have lost a lot of businesses this year. Many have tried to hold on but the last couple of months have really been terrible and I am afraid the loss is permanent.
Thanks to all of you for your support and friendship. It has meant so much to me.![]()
I hope 2021 will bring an end to this virus and all of us will be able to have a joyous holiday time next year.

Merry Christmas friends.
I'm working today (basically monitoring the email boxes) to make sure any last minute concerns are answered. Days like this have more to do with timesheet questions than anything else. But I volunteer to monitor because it's easy to do and makes people less stressed about it.
It's raining here and there is the slightest hope of a dusting of snow for tomorrow as it will be very cold. It's a comfortable 56 right now.
Since it's dark outside, it's a good time to have the tree on. One last hurrah before I take it down this weekend. It would be down now except that our family video call is tomorrow night, so I don't want people to have a fit that my tree is down already. So I'll park my laptop in front of the tree and start taking it down once the call is over.
I have decided to take the ornaments off the back ofthe tree this afternoon. LOL I'm also considering not putting all the Hallmark ornaments back in their boxes. That's what is so labor intensive. We'll see.
I'm keeping all of you and your families in my prayers for a quick recovering and healing from the losses.
I'm reminded every day how fortunate and blessed I am. And glad to know all of you.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Okay, which one of you was dreaming of a White Christmas??
Wasn't me, but woke to one!
Heavy snow as the tree branches are bending.
Looks pretty but it can melt tomorrow!
