Found some different chocolate nut cluster recipes online & decided to try a new one from what I usually use.

This recipe has peanut butter chips, semi-sweet chocolate & milk chocolate chips in it. I thought it was really good.

I used cocktail peanuts because that's what I had on hand. I had just over 10 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips left so that's what I used.

The semi-sweet & milk chocolate I used was Ghirardelli. YUM!!!

12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips

5 oz peanut butter chips

5.5 oz milk chocolate chips

12.5 oz can of Cocktail peanuts

1 T shortening crisco (not oil)

Melt all the ingredients in microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth. Stir in peanuts.

Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet lined with wax paper or silicone liner.

Let set up in refrigerator. Store in airtight container.

Makes 4 dozen

Original recipe I found online

12 oz semi-sweet chips

5 oz peanut butter chips

5.5 oz milk chocolate chips

12.5 oz can of redskin spanish peanuts

Melt chips in double boiler over low heat until melted.

Stir until smooth.

Remove from heat & stir in peanuts.

Drop by spoonful on wax paper or silicone liner.

Let stand at room temperature until firm.

You can pretty much take any kind of nuts or a nut cereal or pretzel combo with any kind of chocolate, and make something good.  Fun to experiment.

That's for sure. I just like the addition of the peanut butter in this one. It just has a hint of peanut butter.

The other recipe I was using used semi-sweet with white chocolate.

This was a recipe posted by Jungle Jim's Margie Potts? The page had several different chocolate recipes on it.

@Nightowlz.  I like the one called Puppy Chow with nuts, chex cereal, pretzels, white chocolate sprinkled with powdered sugar.
