Several months ago Sam's Club had Newman's Own Salad Dressing on clearance. I bought 4 bottles. The dressings were Balsamic Vinaigrette and Olive Oil and Vinegar.

I have been putting the Olive Oil and Vinegar Dressing on everything and marinating chicken. Just having a wonderful time and enjoying cooking with the dressing.

Well, I went to buy more bottles of the Olive Oil and Vinegar. Not to be found. All I could find was Classic Oil and Vinegar. The dressing does not look the same as the Olive Oil and Vinegar. The Classic Oil and Vinegar is much lighter and there seems to be less spices.

As you can tell I don't seem to take change well.

Re: Newman's Own Salad Dressing

It's still showing for sale at Walmart, Target, Amazon - it may just be that Sam's Club stopped carrying the multipacks.

The Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing always had an additional oil as the second ingredient, as far as I knew.  Something like canola oil, so it wasn't just olive oil.

I'm going to be in Walmart again tomorrow, so I'll have a look to see if it's disappeared off the shelves.

Re: Newman's Own Salad Dressing

@drizzellla  I have noticed many of the big warehouse stores carry items for a certain period of time only to not reorder them for whatever reason.  I would check regular grocery stores or, if you or someone you know, has a membership to another warehouse store, and check if they carry it.

I also might add, I see no reason or purpose for anyone to yell or shout a response to your question.

Two bottles were $1.81. Wish I bought more.

I know it still shows being on sale at Target, Walmart and Amazon. That is why I took a trip to Walmart today. But they only had the Classic Oil and Vinegar. I figure I am going to look at every grocery store too. That will be my mission for tomorrow.

My husband said to buy the Classic Oil and Vinegar and try it.

And yes the ingredients are listed as Olive oil, water, canola oil, red wine vinegar, spicy brown mustard (distilled vinegar, water, mustard seed, salt, turmeric, spices), onion less than 2% sea salt, lemon juice concentrate, distilled vinegar, garlic, black pepper and celery seed.

Wish I still had the old bottle of Olive Oil and Vinegar so I could compare ingredients.

I wish I knew how to cut/paste here from my tablet but if you cut paste this link below to your browser you'll see the ingredients list once you scroll far enough down the page. I looked on Newman's website, unfortunately they do not list this specific flavor under dressings. That probably means it is out of production

Thanks -

I see the difference. The Olive Oil and Vinegar had an Olive Oil blend ( Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Olive Oil). And it had either Soybean Oil or Canola Oil.

Plus it did not have Spicy Brown Mustard, black pepper and celery seed. The Olive Oil and Vinegar had lemon juice not lemon juice concentrate like Classic Oil and Vinegar.

It looks different so I am guessing it will taste different.

Re: Newman's Own Salad Dressing

@drizzellla I went to the Newman's Own website. Evidently they discontinued the Olive oil and vinegar. So whatever is already out there is the end of the production.

If you like it enough to do so, suggest you track it down online and order a reasonable amount.
