My husband and I had a late breakfast yesterday. I made Giada's (foodnetwork.com) omelet with strawberries. It was surprisingly good. We got our protein and fruit in one dish.

So sorry no link to recipe. I have to figure out how to do it.

@gizmogal thanks for posting link. You are right about the sweetness. I cut down the sugar on the strawberries, omelet and whipped cream.  All that sugar in the strawberries and eggs are not necessary.

Sounds good. Made some french bread Fri & just got finished eating french toast. YUM!!! It makes good french toast because the bread does not get soggy. I would not think bread made with flour salt & water would be any good but it is. LOL!!! I also made some English Toasting bread that has a good crunch to it if that's how you like your toast.

Some day I need to plant a herb garden - who has fresh mint on hand?

We had an omelette brunch, made from the rewarmed leftovers of last night's dinner, Grilled Flank Steak with Bacon Rosemary Corn.  In all honesty, it was the best omelette either of us has ever eaten.

@gizmogal, thanks for posting the recipe.  I made it this morning, minus the sugar, and it was delicious.  I never would have put strawberries in an omelet, but I am so glad that I tried it.  It is a keeper.  Thanks again!

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
