Jam from dried mangoes?

Happy holidays!

Does anyone hae a tried & true recipe to make jam from dried mangoes? I have a big bag of the dried fruit and most of it is too dry/tough to chew.

I bought a large bag of dried mango from Costco. It is dry and chewy....if you take small bites and let it sit in your mouth a bit it is actually quite good. I've also purchased dried mango at T Joe's and it was the same. I've never thought about making jam from it.

Nice thought. I just chop thing like this up and make muffins. But I have a thing for muffins.

LOL...those are the ones I bought, too. I have been chewing on the strips, but they are so tough. I’m hoping to use some of them in a jam or preserves recipe.

I think maybe I could just gently cook them til they are soft and then process them to make a spread.

I made preserves using a 6 or 7 oz bag of mission figs from Walmart . I chopped off the stem and cut them up, added 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Let cook til the liquid thickened up. Makes 1 jar.
