LOL!!! Good One.
I don't know why people don't want to share their recipes. Most have been around for years so people make their changes & call it their recipe?

Makes me think of that expression, "Lighting another's candle will not cause yours to burn less brightly". I would think you'd have to be very insecure to refuse to share.
Indeed!

My father loved his mother's rice pudding. My grandmother gave my mother the recipe after they were married and my father said it didn't taste like his mother's when she made it.
So, my mother watched my grandmother make it and made it again....my father said it still didn't taste the same.
My grandmother came to my parents' house and made the rice pudding for my father...without telling him she made it. He still complained it wasn't the same and that was the last time (until I made it at 26) that rice pudding was ever made in my parents house. LOL

The Best Ever Baked Chicken with A Special Stuffing
CHICKEN RECIPE
Here is a chicken recipe that also includes the use of
popcorn as a stuffing -- imagine that. When I found
this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like
me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is
thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.
BAKED STUFFED CHICKEN
4 - 5 lb. Chicken
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER*S LOW FAT)
Salt/pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken well with
melted butter salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with
stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the
neck end toward the back of the oven.
Listen for the popping sounds. When the chicken*s butt
blows the oven door open and the chicken flies across
the room, it*s done.
and you thought i could not cook
thougt some of might enjoy this chuckle

I have known people who would not share a recipe. Someone said it was a security thing.
Personally if you want my recipe for something just ask.

I really did know a woman at our church many years ago who was a fantastic cook. We had a lot of potluck dinners back then and no matter what she brought, it was the first thing to go. I tried but failed to make some of her salads and casseroles and cakes but they never tasted like hers. I found out years later from one of her other friends that she even though she always shared her recipes, she would leave out one ingredient that would keep the finished dish from tasting as good as hers.
