Dear Mary Beth,

I just heard you say your family likes cherry pie. Well, here's a recipe you may try.

I make my pie crusts in large batches and make packages for individual pies and freeze. When I want to make a pie, half the work is already done. This was my grandmother's favorite and would like to share with you.

Cherry Raisin Pie

Pre heat oven to  400 degrees.

Pie crust for top and bottom of pie.

1 can of cherry pie filling.

8 oz of raisins

In a bowl mix pie filling and raisins together and fill your crust. Place top crust on and make vent holes.

Bake 15 min at 400 then reduce to 350 and bake for an additional 50 min.

That's it. I hope you will try and pass it on to others.

Re: Cherry Pie Recipe for you.

@paprincess  I'm watching the LCNY show and heard Mary Beth and Linda talking about pies. That was sweet of you to post your recipe for her. I'm not sure if Mary Beth reads these forums - you might want to post it on her Facebook page too.

Re: Cherry Pie Recipe for you.

I LOVE CHERRY pie!  So did my Dad.  I think next to a great deep dish apple, cherry is my next fav.

Re: Cherry Pie Recipe for you.

I saw your post for a Cherry Raisin Pie and thought it to

be very interesting,

So I made it this morning and it looks good.  My only

thought is the cooking time correct.  I did as you said

but it looks a little to done. { The crust }.

Wondering if to should have been 35 minutes and not

50 minutes longer.
