Re: Awesome Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Recipe!

I can honestly say I probably never make homemade cinnamon rolls again after discovering this recipe!  Don't want to think about the calories, lol.

@gillsburg @the pic in my original post is a bit fuzzy but those are the Cinnamon rolls to use that you referenced.  During the holidays, it's so good to find great recipes that don't take up tons of time.  I'm all for easy!

I use this recipe:

1 C Vanila Ice Cream

1/2 C Butter

1/2 C Sugar

1/2C Brown Sugar

Bring 1st 4 ingredients to a boil

Let mixture cool

Grease a 8 x 10 pan

Place frozen rolls in pan

Pour cooled mixture over rolls

Cover with foil or plastic wrap

Leave out overnight

Preheat oven to 350 and cook 20 to 30 min

You can put the included frosting on rolls

My kids love them.

Got this recipe from my Master Gardeners Group

Re: Awesome Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Recipe!

I've had these and they are wonderful! My mother used to make the gooey rolls using 2 loaves of Rhodes frozen bread loaves, along with the butter, pudding, brown sugar and nuts. Just awesome, but that was before the frozen cinnamon rolls were in the market. I've never met a Rhodes Rolls product or recipe I didn't like!

Re: Awesome Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Recipe!

@BornToShop  This sounds easy and delicious.  Is Cook and Serve Pudding instant or regular pudding mix and do yoiu use sugar-free or regular?  I don't do too much with pudding and don't think that I have ever used it in baked goods, but I will be trying this one.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: Awesome Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Recipe!

@SXMGirl  the pudding is not instant and not sugar free.  I am tempted to try pumpkin pudding with this recipe.  I had these this morning; they heat up well!

Re: Awesome Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Recipe!

I'm just curious about the powdered pudding.  What do it do for the recipe?

Re: Awesome Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Recipe!

@Bridgegal, the dry pudding incorporates with the melted butter and creates an ooey gooey wonderfulness. I'm not sure "incorporates" is the right word, but don't leave the pudding out of the recipe. You can go to the Rhodes Rolls website and find a lot of great recipes and different holiday ideas.
