What happened to primetime specials?

I understood they were going away only for weekends.

They are permanently gone since November 20th.

@depglass - It's the lunchtime specials that are no longer offered on the weekend.  The primetime specials are permanently gone.

The prices were not that good anyway, imo.

Re: What happened to primetime specials?

I hate to admit it but I rarely looked at primetime specials, myshopping is in the morning so I do lunchtime specials.  I'm just assuming some shop online at night while watching, maybe the on air content is enough for them.  Oh, by the way, these specials are always an additional discount from the lowest clearance prices, sometimes a very substantial discount.  I've kicked myself a few times by dallying and having to buy at clearance price after the lunchtime special price expired.

Re: What happened to primetime specials?

I just checked today's offerings and they range from a minimum of 40% off to a maximum of 70%.  I don't go by just percentages, a price will just hit me for an item, my sweet spot so to speak.

Prime Time Specials are gone with the wind and Lunch Time Specials are gone on weekends... While they were rarely, to me, truly special (the selection was often lame, was frequently repetitive, and 'Special' would have involved free shipping for 'Special' items...), I did check then out daily... I can honestly say now that the Mighty Q has started diddling with the Specials, more days than not I forget to even look... Many days, checking the Specials was the impetus for me to open their retail website, so of course, what all this means is that I'm checking things out far less than I used to... Unintended consequences, Q...

@stevieb - I totally agree! And the weekends are actually when I'm more likely to have time to do some in-depth online shopping, so eliminating the draw to qvc.com both in the morning and in the evening when I might have been tempted to check out what they were offering as specials is not wise, especially since I'm guessing I'm not the only one on that timeline...

@loriqvc  I honestly don't understand what drives this company. I know their sales have been up since the pandemic took hold, but assuming it doesn't last forever (or here's hoping anyway...) their sales pre-pandemic were on a serious downward spiral. You'd think they'd avail themselves of this period to entrench themselves with some shoppers, not drive them away. Surely, with thousands of items at their disposal, listing a handful of items a couple of times a day wasn't an onerous task. If they read these forums carefully other, it often seems, than to tweak them to their satisfaction, they'd have gleaned the fact that a lot of shoppers did go onto the website to view the specials. Once there, some surely shopped around.
