Several vendors I shop with will send ma an email with a photo of my cart saying that it will expire soon.  Often I keep those emails if I'm not sure of when I want to purchase.

This is just the beginning of all this chaos--for all retail. Just wait until the holidays roll around---If I were giving gifts--I'd be getting them as soon as I saw them--I give cash instead and have for years now. Same with b-days. Gird your loins!!!

Are you saying that your items are removed from your cart immediately @beach-mom ?  I haven't noticed this, mine seem to remain long enough for me to decide.  If I don't make the purchase in time I can easily find those items under Saved Items. Every item you put in your cart is automatically saved for you so you can just scroll down a tiny bit and find them.

If the concern is the item gets sold out before you made up your mind, I don't think that is a problem for QVC. Bottom line, they want items to get sold, they don't really care who purchases them or that someone missed out.

Offering discount codes to select customers is wrong in my opinion.

@cjm61   they have changed their policy.  No more getting an hour to shop.  I have noticed items that are hot and being purchased and going fast, don't stay in your cart.  If an item didn't sell fast in that hour, they don't remove them as fast.  A lot of folks add the item in several colors and sizes to their carts, holding up purchases for other folks.

Twice now I have had things removed from my cart within 5 minutes while I went online to read the specific measurements or to look at color choices again. I always check back later to see if the item is available and it's not.

Re: Two Things Bothering Me

[ Edited ]

I think that it's a terrific practice.

Folks had a tendency to hoard things in their cart and this puts an end to that in many instances.

@beach-mom   They're doing anything and everything to try to make sales. Obviously none of this + codes is helping.

@AZfem   Not to mention receiving a code that do not work! I tried a 20% off on three different items , one at a time as stated on the correct dates and Q refused to accept it hoping to have one item work with it. Why send out bogus codes? It is a waste of time.

There is a free ship the May 14th to May 28th on my post card. I won't hold my breath.  I know others have posted codes not being valid?

@UpNorthGorg, there are numerous restrictions on the use of coupons. Often too many to make it worth using. Seems basically coupons are good on full priced items with a few selected some named category of sale items included.
