My take on items being removed from carts is because I believe QVC is carrying smaller amounts of inventory. So with popular lines with lots of interest there is no excess only a finite number. Whoever is willing to commit to the sale first gets the item.
Host often urged shoppers once something is in your cart to check out. It certainly makes it difficult trying research details of an items. (Details often omitted during the spiel from some host.) Or while trying to coordinate with other items in the line.
Certainly frustrating for customers but in today's retail market, to me it's understandable.

It's hustle, hustle, hustle: It's not gonna last !
We only have 600 left !
Our phone lines are jammed !
Get one in every color now before they sell out!
This isn't going to last !
Get your size now before it sells out !
And on and on with the huge sales pitch. Several vendors ( KG) are really good at the hustle. I don't even get time to try to read the reviews to decide if the neckline is really too wide, or too deep, if the sleeves fit tightly, if it is too long, or exactly what fabric or fabric mix the garment is made of. And then I have to try to gauge if I need one size or should I go up a size.
I keep adding things to the cart, then deleting them when I feel resentful about being hustled. So very annoying.

@Bhvbum wrote:I suspect QVC is going to see more orders canceled in the hour after they are placed. I've done that a couple of times because I was so concerned that they would sell out of something I wanted but I just couldn't figure out what size to buy looking at the measurements. So I purchased both sizes and then went back and canceled one.
that's ridiculous but that's what QVC is pushing us to do with their going going going, and the constant recap of how many are left it's very annoying.
If you wait an hour to decide to cancel an order, you may not be able to. Once I placed an order and about 15 minutes later, I decided I probably needed a different size in that item. Went back to cancel and it said processing, unable to cancel.

I totally agree, they get to acting so silly (and not just that show) they don't give out the info we the buyers are waiting for before purchasing.
