Have you ever watched their presentation of a TSV? Typically, it lasts for at least 30 minutes…sometimes a bit more. I do wish that on the craft shows, they'd allow more time for a bit of demo, rather than the host providing suggestions of how to use an item. But like you, I find myself enjoying HSN more and more. And QVC, less and less, sadly.
Yes, I have noticed that...I guess that's when I go take my bath or get a snack. ![]()

I rate the hosts as the same. Some can be more annoying than others. That why I stop watching. No product detail, but I knew they bought it or a family member bought it. I quess they have to use of the time for something. I would not want their job, as I said before, I would be like Jack Webb, just the facts. I would last maybe 5 minutes
. When I did shop it was on-line. I stop watching years ago, now I have stop shopping also. I do check to see what on-line in jewelry, and to check the community forms. I prefer B/M stores or e-bay.

I think the hosts in general on QVC come across more upscale and professional.

That is exactly how I felt for many years--not so much now.

I used to watch and buy from both QVC and HSN about twenty years ago. I switched to QVC because they seemed far more professional to me, they weren't screaming down the clock, etc. (That was a long time ago!) plus the difference in quality between HSN and QVC's products was QVC hands down. At THAT time. Now... I'm contemplating trying HSN again just to see if their products and quality control have surpassed the Q.

HSN has been hiring a lot of hosts lately, however most of them vanished shortly after being able to host a show solo. The only 2 recent hires to go solo (Shannon Fox & Melinda Lee) have stayed around after able to host solo. HSN also has 2 new hosts in Training Amy Bravo (Who was previously a model at HSN) and Nicole Williams (No clue what she used to do)

Professional what?

I think it's crazy that some are saying HSN's prices are better than QVC's. Maybe they have some in-house brands that are cheap, but when I watch brands like Guilliana, Hal Rubenstein, Yummie, CJ by Cookie Johnson, Iman I am often stunned at their prices. Their TSV prices may be good but their regular prices are always higher than what I see comparably on QVC. And, I'm not saying QVC is cheap. Let's face it. Fashion has gotten more and more expensive. And, unless you discount retail shop regularly or don't buy at all, you're going to be spending mucho on your wardrobe these days.
As for hosts, forget them. I like the models way better on QVC! Let's hear it for them.

IMO, all the shopping channels have a different selling technique. I've noticed that on HSN it's often the vendor giving details while the host looks on. With QVC is the opposite. I don't really know all the names of hosts, but as long as someone is giving details so I can decide on a purchase, I don't care who is who. I flip channels a lot because listening to non-stop sales jargon is boring to me, not matter who's doing it, so they better get to the bottom line fast or I'm gone.
