@qbetzforreal @pugvette74 @KYTobyAnd doesn't that prove our very point---that LR's own words would not be acceptable on this QVC Forum!

@suzyQ3 and @Moonchilde, Interesting points. When I've reported posts, I've seen some removed and some remain... and often some pretty egregious stuff remains. Some of my posts go "poof" now and then. I might not even notice if I don't go back to a thread for a while, but truly I just really don't take it personally and certainly haven't thought anyone was given special privileges. My thinking is that most of us don't have time to monitor all these things. It might sometimes be a little annoying to see my post missing if I put a lot of thought into it. But then it's in the past and I move forward. To me, posts are temporary anyway, ephemeral. Even so, that's me... and I hate knowing that the moderators' decisions are a major, personal affront to anyone. As @suzyQ3 said, this is supposed to be a place to enjoy.
I did notice that when the new platform was first launched the moderators gave warnings and then took away posting privileges. We know this because some posters were given a "timeout" and then returned to post again, and they mentioned what happened. (Most forums do something like this because if we don't have negative consequences for our negative actions we have less incentive to be respectful.) Now, evidently, practically no one is ever banned from posting, no matter what they write here or how many times they -- even blatantly, "in your face" -- violate the standards. One person started a thread about this and the moderator posted the Q Team email address, asking the OP to discuss the issue via email.

There are a number of moderators and they all can't have the same reaction to every post.
If it is just less moderation, at what point should a Mod step in? We all have different ideas of rude, nasty and mean. Who makes the final decision? Or is a free for all wanted? I think the report inappropriate button has a lot to do with posts being poofed. Mods cannot read every thread and every post.
Yes, there are people who feel so entitled, that they think that the rules here do not apply to them, and that they should say whatever they want.

We should all just face up to it ----
I give these boards another 6 months - at the most - when the ONLY thing we will be able to discuss are QVC products.....and nothing else.
According to the Mods, everything must be sunny, happy, land-of-marshmallows, love-in, and we all have to sing Kumbaya....
Yes, the boards belong to QVC but the no-rhyme-or-reason attitude for deleting threads is nuts. Either do not allow ANY nasty threads OR allow them -- but don't just pick-and-choose arbitrarily and keep some on and delete others.
No doubt this post will be deleted soon -- because OH NO, I deigned to speak my mind.
Jeez......
I must admit that I am also confused as to how the moderators come to the conclusions they do about what is "unkind". If someone comments about a host or vendor's hair color and it is a compliment, the post stays. But if you make a comment that the hair color is unattractive, is that unkind? Or do you have to be dramatic about the comment, "ugliest hair color I have ever seen?" Is constructive criticism allowed, e.g. suggesting a host stop using repetitive phrases or give sizing information?
I understand the policies about profanity, political discussions etc. But the subjectivity regarding discussions on hosts and vendors is a little cloudy. Some discussion threads go on and on yet others are gone in a flash, almost depending upon the subject (host) of said threads. Perhaps if the policies were clearer, those posting would not be as upset about the deletions. And personally, I feel like a small child getting my hand slapped when I see that thread was deleted for being "unkind". Really? Why not say for "violating Board standards and policies". That seems more adult and less childish. And then refer to which policy, such as 3.14.5 or something like that. It doesn't sound like rocket science to me...
OMG - YES! I totally agree -- it does make one feel like a 5 year old.
And you're right -- seems like ANY constructive mention of anything to do with a host is forbidden.
I used to come to the board regularly but now I maybe visit 1-2x/week at most.

They do not have a right to violate the board's rules when expressing their opinions. We all agreed to abide by these rules when we regitered to post on these boards. Those who continue to violate the rules and standards show us that they are either liars or they feel that they are somehow special and exempt from following these rules.
Thank you KYToby....You hit the nail on the head...Its amazing how many agree to rules, but then don't want to abide by them. SMH

Or feel there should be no rules, or that the rules should be tailored to suit *their* sensibilities - or hinestly, that they should be able to say literally anything they want on any topic they choose.
