Totally agree. The food prices are outrageous!

Seems like everyone's food prices are ridiculous.  A friend wanted to send her mom a Harry & David something, and nearly choked when she saw their current prices!

Well, since the advent of the internet and Amazon etc, ALL retailers are struggling to maintain relevance and stay profitable.

Honestly, I don't even remember the last time I was in a shopping mall, seriously buying anything.

Re: THE DOWNFALL OF QVC

[ Edited ]

I used to love to watch QVC especially around the holidays. Now it seems like everyone is giggling or yelling.  I really don't care for having two hosts and a guest either. They let two hosts go and then hired a bunch of new hosts. That I don't understand. Anyway,  if I choose to buy I look online and shop. I just don't find live viewing fun anymore.  (P.S. I will say that if I do watch any of the shows I enjoy hosts Mary Beth, Ali, Leah, Julia and Mary. They are at least a little calmer....)

But it's not just QVC!

Go right now to the grocery store and everything is way up.  But we're not supposed to notice it or complain about it because then it would fall into the rightful lap of the PB.  And we can't have that.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

Gas on west coast is $6.49/gallon, unleaded.

The rightful lap of the PB?    What does that mean?

You conveniently omit, in all of your posts on the matter, that an employer may not terminate an employee for any reason.  Not true.  They may not take action that is illegal per federal and/or state law.

Federal and state discrimination statutes prohibit employers from basing employment decisions on an employee’s race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. Specific state statutes may also protect employees from discrimination based on other factors, such as sexual orientation.

The multiple posts repeating this are political, politically charged and electioneering in violation of forum rules.

It's nearly impossible to prove discrimination. Most people cannot afford to fund the legal process to prove it. So corporations get away with it every day

Lawsuits can also result in an end to pensions and other retirement benefits so older people have to consider that too.

I was in a position to see discrimination and how HR protected the company instead of the employees. I could tell you stories...

Nothing was politically charged at the time you posted this.  It's called facts. No one needs to be reprimanded.

I respectfully disagree with your post. I don't think it's falling or failing, just changing. It doesn't matter to me who they have as hosts. I just don't watch when someone is on who I don't care to listen to, but I don't HAVE to watch someone I like either. The hosts who have left for whatever reason may be missed but it's not a reason I choose to no longer watch because of it. There are some hosts who have been gone for years and people still are missing them. I don't know any of them personally but can't think of a single one who left who made me not want to shop at QVC any longer. Some who've left are actually ones I couldn't bear to watch! I would be sad if there was no QVC any longer; while I do shop on Amazon, it can get overwhelming with all their different brands. At least on QVC I can usually depend on their brands.

@Dlb63   The 2 hosts let go were very longtimers. I suspect they were earning by now much more than Q pays new hosts. I also suspect Q decided that their sales numbers didn't justify their large salaries.

I miss variety.  Same old, same old....Logo is not for me, and it's on all the time!  David's show is doing the same thing over and over.  Don't enjoy the food items except for Christmas offerings. The only hosts I like are Amy, David, Jayne, Sandra, and Leah. They should do another 50 in 50 tour to discover new products.

I agree with the downfall of QVC.  I also have been a faithful customer for over 30 years and do not purchase as much as I used to.  I think their prices are ridiculously high; especially D&C, and the quality is getting poorer.  I only buy when something is at least 3 stars or above.  Also what is with all the jeans as TSV.  So sick of seeing denim for outragous prices of $70.00 or more,  Prices in general are getting so high on QVC, plus S&H and having to pay $6.95 to return an item.  I am an older person and so tired of the styles that seem to cater to younger people.  Also so sick of "tunic length" tops that go past your crouch and only look good on tall, thin people.  If you are an 1X or above it makes you look heavy.  I always look at Lunch Time Specials now as I feel I can get some nice things for a decent price.  Wake up QVC!
