@Reever. All it does on a board like this is create arguments and bad feelings.  It would be chaos.  There are other places for political discussion.  I dont find it deplorable at all.

LOL.....you know what they say, Opinions are like......uh........noses........everyone's got one. Not all opinions are relevent in a given situation, such as this one. Their company, their rules. If you don't like it, you can take your ball and slink away home dejected.

Around 2000 I cut my teeth on a very aggressive Board that tolerated most everything.  I had no idea, I simply liked the subjects (politics, religion, ethics, etc.) and dove right in.  I had no idea what I got myself into.  I tend to be polite and don't call anyone names but am strong with my opinions and will source facts from legitimate sources to support them.  The more aggressive posters would do some despicable things because many had the ability to hack, to find IP addresses, to find out who you are and where you lived.  One poster (female) was tracked down to her city, her Boutique business was found and a threatening note was left by her board nemisis.  (Authorities were notified).

I was lucky, someone I made angry only hacked a special page I had and I could take it down.... but from that moment on I realized the depth of some of the anger on boards out there and have tried to be very careful what I say and how I say it.... I stayed on there for years but it was a crash course for every board I've gone to since. 

This board is very civilized and the posters are kind and compassionate.  I personally have no problem with the moderation. I think it's made these boards a decent place.  JMHO
