Is anyone else concerned about the frequency of new items being "...only order of year or season...."? Love that Q has always had waitlist or ample inventory so I could go back and order another of same item. Also could wait for some reviews before ordering a new item if I was not sure of sizing, e.g. I am not always near a computer when new item is on air. Hosts don't always present all details and on air measurements do not appear as frequently as needed. By the time I am able to get info online, item is gone. Sadly this is not a good QVC change for me. Anyone else?

Personally, I think the "only order for the year" statement is just an age-old sales technique.

I agree. They've been doing that forever. Every winter/spring they tell us to order the white pants now because they will be gone by May.
At the same time, if an item is seasonal, I don't expect them to last for months on end, either.

I'm familiar with the sale pushes such as, when their gone their gone and only order of the season. But I believe that vendors bring in smaller quantities of product. We can't watch every item being presented and when you discover it, they are sold out. If you need to make a size adjustment their out of stock. It isn't convenient shopping for me because of no stock inventory.

I've noticed that very often, the items are end of inventory. Sometimes they're seasons old. Other times they are discontinued brands. And sometimes they are the remains of an old TSV from years past, or broken sizes from returns and the remains of items from years past.

@KingstonsMom I thought the same thing until I saw a “New Today” item that sold out in my size...only order. I tried to go on waitlist & CS said they only ordered limited quantities.
Perhaps they’re getting stuck w/ too many leftovers to put on clearance.

No. There is no longer anything so unique about what QVC or any other channel offers that can't be found elsewhere. If it sells out and is not reordered, I'll find a substitute.

No, it doesn't bother me at all.

My only question is , is WHY does it take " a year" to get things back in stock ? You would think, if it's that popular, in this day and age they would be able to restock it faster than that !!!!

@Silver Fox1 Orders are taken seasons ahead. If Q were to place another order, the manufacturer is already working on merchandise several seasons from now....That’s why the summer clothes start arriving in stores around Jan./Feb.
