If you can't buy a nice wreath locally, try LLBean.  We have no trouble getting a nice wreath locally, but if not, I would try that retailer.  They never disappoint.

That is exactly what I ended up doing, and it had free shipping.

If Q sent you that note, it may be best that you buy the wreath elsewhere before everything is sold out. Things go quickly after Thanksgiving Day. Sometimes vendors can no longer deliver at at 2008 prices. Q has only had auto deliveries limited to one or two years in recent years.

There was no time limit on this auto-delivery, and in my opinion, the auto-delivery plans should have first dibs, particularly one that has had it as long as I have.  QVC has touted this with other auto-delivery plans that have limited stock - I have heard them say that if an item is limited, the auto-delivery purchasers get first dibs on stock for future deliveries.

The VPH wreaths have been around for years, and I have ordered them a number of times and have not been disappointed.  I don't know what happened this year, but it could have been something serious with the vendor.  Am glad that you received an advance notice so that you have time to choose another wreath for the veterinary clinic (which is a VERY nice thing to do).  Hopefully, you have a number of local merchants that offer wreaths (maybe adding some ornamentation  that you like) if you don't want the suggestion that QVC offered.  I'm sure the clinic that you have this tradition with will still be thrilled that you remembered them .  Things happen.  I can understand your disappointment, but you have time to choose another option!

I don't know what happened this year either, but these things happen.  It's always possible that something will not always be available.  Products can be temporarily unavailable or discontinued.  That's certainly not unheard of.  And yes, at least there was advance notice.  People have often been left high and dry when items arrived late or not at all.

I would absolutely cancel the order, and find something else for the vet clinic. It's not worth the stress of not knowing.   And just because the people at the vet clinic enjoy this particular wreath doesn't mean they won't like something else just as much.  Or more.

eta:  I just saw that you ordered elsewhere.  Perfect solution!  I don't blame you for being annoyed with QVC, btw.  I don't think they're obligated to provide that wreath to you forever, but shame on them for the late notice.  Glad it worked out for you.  :-)
